Title: Mihail's gallery of sweet progress
Post by: Mihail Junkovich on July 24, 2012, 12:00:19 am
Sooner or later I had to start with photoshop again.. now I have enough time and need to practice it!!

Anyway.. I didn't ever know how to make a proper signature, so I had to try it again now.. heh

:ps: Will display at least 1 "artwork" a day [ That's my aim ]. Due to that fact any critics are highly appreciated. :)

Here is another one.. I was a bit experimenting and finally managed to realize how does the clipping mask works xD

I  to myself.

 :ps: c'mon c'mon.. post a comment, I don't bite hehe

Todays one.. the all blazing death!

Anyway.. you guys are some seriously tough nut to crack. Okay.. okay, let's try it this way - Changing topic name to "free money for signatures"

hah.. gotcha

I'm your boss!

So.. this one is from yesterday, my favorite car, the Ford Mustang GT 2005 [ NFS MW <3 ]

I don't really like the fact that I made it so dark.. but the first idea was to make it "outrun the darkness" ^^

did I manage to do that.. you tell me

They're pretty good. Though, I feel they are a bit out of focus. The main subject of the signature is overwhelmed by the surrounding effects.

The text is a bit hard to read also, but that might be because of the bad image quality. You might wanna save them as PNG.

Just keep at it and you'll gain more experience with every project you do :)

Finally someone has spoken! If there was a thank you button, you would get one now for sure  :D

As for the stuff.. yeah, I am a bit aware of it, that I have kinda missed the whole point of signatures at the first 2,3 works. Only at 4th one it looks to me like a almost properly defined signature, but as you already said.. I need more experience to make it better ^^

Will try to fix text with that png later on, maybe that will help.. I forgot how jpeg knows to eat up some of the pixels :(

Thank you once more :)

Will be edit for todays one..

The - Death from above!

Yes it's a Dragon again, and I tried to make something special from him.. and in the end, I really like the outcome which is with my skills atm.. great to me! :3

A lot of image adjustments [ Which I totally forgot that they exists in ps xD ] - Color adjustments, Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Gradient Maps etc. Also use a lot of clipping mask..

Maybe I did go a bit too far with all those splatter brushes and things around the dragon itself.. but, hey what you gonna due

Also, used PNG, increase in visibility is already here.. I can read again LOL

All hail to the GoodGuy!

Still can't manage to fill the background as I wish.. but, easy.. I'll overcome that problem too hehe

new one!! heh

Demons will fall muhaha

Still can't manage to get the background fits to my opinion.. lol

Render is from the game called Hellgate London, originally.. I noticed it in the video spot on youtube for Rammstein song Moskau ^^

Check it out.. Rammstein - Moskau (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9F_wCfZMxw#)

New one.. made for the request of Victor Capoliano, here - Need signature ( award : 100,000$ )  (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=87111.0)

Just.. there is a catch with this anti-rip text.. checkout why in his topic :)

One more D:

And yeah.. I know its Thunderbolt, but I changed the name for no particular reason :3

I like it. The combination blur / text / render is well done. Altho try some new effects, not only the current one.

Thanks for the comment  :D

Yeah, I'm aware that I should change technique because I won't make any further progress behind this if I don't change the things a bit.. ^^

Hopefully I found some good tutorials for signatures now.. I think they could change a thing or two in my designs

Due to your preposition.. ^^

Twenty, am I now? he he

First vertical sig I did.. first time I've ever used some of new techniques I found due to use of tutorial from eaSe. I'm not quite happy with the outcome.. but at least, the thought that I'll use some of newly baked techniques in future makes me happy he he

That's the right attitude, keep at it. You're already making clear progress :)
I'd suggest that you should try to work on your sharpening a bit. Sometimes it can make things look really cool, but if you overuse it, it may end up looking very bad.

When following a specific workflow with your every work, you may end up adding things that are not needed, making the final result look bad.

Not bad at all, actually. What you should change to make it better would be the text. Find a better place, make it more readable, different font, any of these.

Indeed, what has said before, you should work on the text a little more. And yes your making progress. Keep on doing some different effects!

Thank you for the comments, will try to fix those things in future ^^

For today.. the bat!

Again, tried some new techniques.. manipulating with c4ds [ Never knew that.. neither do I still now how ]. Used sharpening/blur for increasing the depth of signature and details. Tried to fix that text thingy.. and so on :P

Give me a theme for next one ^^

I was bored.. not a good status for making anykind of art

still I don't know how to actually begin making a signature.. usually I just start experimenting, and then find the way I want to make it.. but never did I knew what to do with it at the beginning and that bores me :(

Anyway.. LoLipop, am sure you'll recognize render :P

Russian power, the T-62A.

The render is from one of wallpapers of game WoT [ World of tanks ] which I'm currently playing.. again, experimenting

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.. can't wait :3

Sadly.. all attachments are gone.. but, here is the new one, from yesterday hehe

Death itself!

From the Darksiders II, game which should be out around 14th of August.. can't wait :3

Link - Darksiders II (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbvGC4VOOTk)

As for the signature.. I've tried to experiment with the very depth of it. Did I manage to achieve that.. you tell me  :)

For the rest of signatures, which can't be seen due to Argo update.. you can check here on deviantART - Shifter91 (http://shifter91.deviantart.com/)

I got so irritated by this one.. more precisely by photoshop which crashed a sec after I saved the work as a final. I just had to save it like a .png and it's over.. but no, he wanted to crash. I was first happy because I saved around 10 times before the crash, but again.. noooo, the damn thing didn't saved it. It displayed to me the result from yesterday.. when I just begun

..so much rage was in me

That image was so looking nice to me.. and now this one.. not :/

am bored  :(

Had to make another one..

I've found out some new effects.. so now atm I'm experimenting :3

From yesterday, couldn't post it then due to some SOTW contest..

New techniques! c4d mass usage

Bumper looool

I thought noone cared about this topic, so I stopped posting :P

but then... cka appears! xD

This one was new one for that SOTW contest from above. But, I wasn't satisfied with this one either.. so I've made a new one, which I can't display yet :3

It had way to much details in the background and I've lost the focal point lol

New ones.. if noone reply, I'll probably stop posting..
