So i waned to discusse question (why admins protect newbie from Punishment)
Today i have meet 2 newbies cops and one newbie player who without reason DeathMaching!
If u kep reporting him, possible admins will not see your report so soon than u need it!
So this is RPG server not Cops&Robbers...
Today i was relaxing on mainroad and then i was going afk 3-5 min. After that i saw i'm suspected by Officer who is newbie! THen i saw him and tryed get answer my suspect reason. we was near LSPD so we were going to LSPD do do investigation. Of cuarse i didn't giveip, but do i have run if i'm abused and i agree go to LSPD to get investigation? When we was in LSPD He sweared to kill me and that happened after 2 our 3 scounds.
After death i reported him FOr killing unarmed suspect!
And get answer (i will not copban, because he is newbie) so i have questions if i will change ip/make a new account and kill suspect without any warning i will not get punishment? ( Of cuarse i will not get it, because they don't know me and i'm register today) So can Gandalf change this rule, to give Punshment to newbies if they do someting against rules?
SOme time ago my friends played argonathrpg too but they leaved it, because cops killed him without any reason and that cop was newbie and u seems like players like that, when Newbies don't get punishment from admins because they are newbies?
So here is a question, Choase: Leave Old members who have played long time in this server, our newbies get punishment for their rulbreaks like we (old member)....
Waiting some comments about that, Do you like that, when newbies don't get Punishment!
Thanks for reading!

Every New player need guidelines, not punishments cause it will take no affect on them since they dont know what they doing wrong, an old player you can give a valid punishment and he understand what he did wrong.
The difference is Respect.
-
So, we should copban every new player for reason "newbie - too stupid to be a officer" ?
We are not here to punish, but to guide new players, what is correct and what is not.
Instead moaning, you could teach that officer how to do perform his duties correctly.. if you know how to..
Also, take a look at Argonath vision (http://wiki.argonathrpg.eu/index.php/Argonath_Vision), it's there for a reason
-
This is one of the most selfish topics I've seen in quite a while.
Why admins protect "newbies" you say? Because they just joined, and need to be greeted to our server. They need to get used to it, learn our rules and follow our vision, like you should.
But nobody can just enter a new server and know these rules and this vision, everything will come over time for each player, and as that player learns, another new player has entered and is in that phase of learning.
And as a matter of fact, administrators/moderators++ are not here to punish the players, but to guide them, and let them become one of us.
So here is a question, Choase: Leave Old members who have played long time in this server, our newbies get punishment for their rulbreaks like we (old member)....
This is interesting, are you threathening us with leaving or what exactly? If you don't realise that new players aren't as experienced as you, then you are simply naïve and blind.
And anyway, a lot of new players get copbanned after several warnings, but statistics show that most of them leave, as they see no joy in being "civilians"..
Just remember that you've been in the state where you had to learn the ropes aswell, so was I, and so was Gimli(as an example).. Everyone need to learn to become experienced, that's just how life works.
I think that you should start respecting the new players, instead of what you seem to do.

I remember when I joined, I went directly on cop duty after shouting on main chat "HOW TO BE COP ?". Then I was on a bike DBing to a suspect, it was not allowed at that time and I got kicked and warned for it, but I didn't know what it meant. So I kept doing it, and the admin kinda get mad
I asked him "but wtf is DBing as driver ?" and he explained me and everything went fine after that.
Perfect example that punishing player without explaining them is completly useless.
-
The role of an administrator is to enforce the rules, how would you like us to enforce the rules upon a new player that does not know them?
It takes time for anyone to learn new rules, as they are new, they need to be guided in the correct direction so they know how things work.
What's the point of punishing a new player that didn't even know the rules?
For example;
If there was a Law in the country that you live saying "You may not use a cellphone in the shops"
If you used your cellphone in the shop and got arrested, it's not your fault if you never knew that law existed.
As for older players, we are under assumption that they know the rules being the fact they have been around for quite a while, but sometimes we do find those few that tend to "forget" the rules, and they are punished accordingly.
-
Admins aren't so rough on newbies because some of them(most of them...) don't know the rules.
I didn't understand most of what u wrote. xD
-
How selfish can you be? really?
New players learn you know, and how do people learn? Mistakes, trial and error. We are here to help and guide them, and yes, most if not all new players will break the rules, because either they have a bad understanding of English, or simply because they did not red the rules properly.
If we were as harsh with those who aren't expected to know the rules as those who are, there server would slowly empty.
Looking at your punishment history you aren't exactly the role model player yourself.
-
I think Moderators should ban you from the forum because your English skills aren't very good. If you're a new player, you shouldn't be punished for not knowing the rules. First you teach them, then if they proceed, punish them. Give them a chance. I know it's easier to /report, but try to talk with them instead of the "WTF F*CKING NOOB"
Think before you wright, think before thinking.
-
You are a newbie yourself.
-
If you don't try to teach new players then you don't get to complain about them.
-
He is probably irritated with the "newbie" cops giving him an unjust experience and having low money just fuels it up, common issue. Payders, i seriously recommend avoiding areas which consists of cops, don't go out seeking trouble then complaining about a certain subject related to it. AVOID COPS, they are more trouble than you think...
Got into trouble and feel helpless against them? Then run to your freedom, don't just stand there waiting for some miracle to happen. These cops are "merry devils" compared to bigger ones.
-
I think Moderators should ban you from the forum because your English skills aren't very good.
I wonder how retarded are you to say that. Honestly.
Think before you wright, think before thinking.
>Think before thinking.
Why you judge other people if you are worst than them?
-
The worst you can do to a new player breaking the rules like a cop shooting civilians or civilian shooting civ, is to return fire, or if he punches you, in alot of cases that can make him think it's okay and he will keep on that track.
-
Someone seems have forgotten how it was to be new! I bet you was the cop everyone hated and called abuser - Atleast I was..
If you wish to have a change, look at your self before looking at others. The fault might not be on your opponent, but on you. Think what you can improve and change to avoid such situations. Instead of having an arrogant attitude there you call new cops this and that, have a polite attitude there you invite them to a conversation while you explain to them how they must do and where they can search help.

Quiet the opposite for me, the first time i visited Idlewood when i was new, i got suspected for being a new player, i ended up Drive-Dbing entire LSPD and only got warned for it, merciful admin. Was a lot of fun being a newbie.
-
Take a moment and think back to the time you first joined and no fking idea what was going on. All of us were newbies at one point, and we all had to learn the ropes and start taking our first baby steps. We didn't get here on our own.
-
Stop moaning and teach them. How else are they going to learn?
You will get a lot more respect from me if you did something about it instead of shitting on them
-
Well, we all were a newbies.
So, lets get to my point, my point is like that.
We have to be sensitive with the newbies. You as probably experienced player should teach them, flooding the admins /report lines aren't the solution if you understand that.
Also, we cannot expect any newbie to know all the rules in his first days, maybe he even haven't a forum account yet which reduce the chances he will know all the issued rules in Argonath RPG community.
Admins have to protect those newbies from some reasons, first, the newbies wont learn the rules better by getting kicked constantly or getting admin jailed, they will just leave the community in assume that the admins "sucks" or things like that. We, the players and the admins should give them a guide. As a example, me, as SAPD Officer should give new ARPD officers or SAPD Cadets a guide, a someone to teach them the procedures or the police and observe their skills to make them as the best they could without being corrupt.
What i'm trying to say here is, take some moments and PM them or even teach them face-to-face how to behave and not break any rule by teaching them the rules. Not all the rules are appear in /rules, in the script only appear the basic ones (Deathmatch etc.) also, as I said, do not expect from them to have a forum membership or even visiting the forums (Those, the general forums) for the disscussion, I made my account here like 2 months after I joined the community and how I haven't broke rules constantly? I had friends to teach me them, I had good and patient people to help me understand how to play this server in the best way I could.
Be patient with those newbies.
Nim.

Google sarcasm about the first quote.
Typo in the second one " Think before you write." If you can't understand the meaning, I suggest you to expand your knowledge.
You're not even adding a valid opinion so I suggest you to go back to your corner.
Thanks!

I dont even see a reason to keep this topic open. We do not protect newbies, but we guide and learn them. If we was protecting newbies, we wouldn't ban new players which is hacking.
