Hey guys,
I've been playing Dead Island quite a lot a few months back, and I finished it. Now I've started playing Left 4 Dead 2 but it's not nearly as good as Dead Island. So my question to you guys is:
Are there any zombie games like Dead Island. Preferably with co-op, but it's not a must-have. And I don't want it to be too futuristic.
Thanks in advance.

Well, L4D2 is an arcade zombie killing game.
I recommend:
-Zombie Panic: Source
It's an really good game to play with your friends.
Requires HL2 tho.

I wanted to say "Don't say Left 4 Dead" but since it was mentioned in the main post and in the reply, there really isn't any point.
You can try out Project Zomboid (http://projectzomboid.com/blog/) which is an isometric zombie survival that has one campaign based around a married couple surviving an apocalypse and a sandbox mode which uses the same map as the campaign but has the ability to create your own character that includes a skillset based on job roles (like police officer, fireman, army soldier, etc.). The learning curve is a tad steep, there isn't a tutorial except for the intro to the campaign where you tend to your wounded wife and look for supplies.
The sandbox mode spawns you in a random place in the town, mainly in a building with a small amount of supplies in it. You can lightly customise your character, including skin and hair colour and style. Your starter clothing is based around your choice of job, as well finding/collecting clothing as you progress through the game.
The game also uses a field of vision even though it's an isometric game. The only thing you can see is what your character can see through his eyes, forcing the player to have increased awareness to both sound and field of view when it comes to survival and staying away from zombies.
Your character is affected by the surroundings as well, like walking into a room and suddenly finding a horde of zombies inside it, giving the surprised perk. Walking for a prolonged amount of time in the rain slows down your character, firstly giving the wet perk, moving onto soaked and then drenched, which affects your speed, stamina and ability to attack with melee weapons. Not eating for a prolonged amount of time starts at peckish, moving to hungry and then starving which leads to either death or passing out. Same goes with being tired. You are able to sleep on a couch, chair or bed to replenish your sleep and recover from wounds.

did you ever check out DayZ ? It's an ArmA 2 Mod.

DayZ.
Lovely, lovely mod.
I don't get why people think it's one of those PvP deathmatch instance-based shooter clones tho.
The mod itself is free, but Arma II: CO is like 20-30 bucks and you can't play without it.
There will "soon" be a Standalone version tho, if you feel like waiting we'll see what that's about.
Here, let me link you the website.

Ok, forget everything I said.
Go for WarZ.

Yeah I have tried it, but it's a little too slow for my preference. I appreciate the idea though!
And thanks a lot so far guys, definately checking out a few more when I have a little more time!
