How is this in any way allowed? It's roughly 3 minutes of admins deathmatching.

I'm sure it went on longer than 3 mins.

There is difference between "killing another player without role-play reason" and fun event for admins based on 'king of the air'.

There just having fun,not hurting others in a deserted area..

The difference between this and that is we don't gain wanting levels and fight the cops afterwards. We had fun under MIB's watch, who also gave us clear instructions what to do and not to do.

Somehow Leon managed to get a Hunter and blasted us for several minutes!

I'm sure it went on longer than 3 mins.
The Rhino war below the surface is not on tape..

DM events are allowed as far they are under control and observed,in current case it was MIB.

so its fine for admins to organize team deathmatch for themselves when two friends punching each other for the lolz is classified as deathmatching?

I don't shit on anyone, I'm neutral, whilst you are fucking annoying. I don't relay on administration for handling my problems anymore so I don't owe them anything and neither they owe me anything.

If you were active on SA:MP, then you would've seen many events like this for players, not only for admins.
Want one? Be active on it.

Why administrators shouldnt have fun? They are protecting and serving us whenever they can, and they shouldnt have some time to relax? Rather be thankfull to them then replying this kinda stuff..

Must be from other leaders/cop commanders as I removed all the hunters from the server file after the event.
Title: Re: How admins relax..

You've created, perpetuated, and allowed video footage (dubbed "Relaxation"), of an admin exclusive deathmatch "event" that in no way offers valid RP background to overrule the "Do not Deathmatch" rule. Furthermore, you still haven't properly explained how this "event" does not consist in rulebreaking. As i've heard from previous discussions, if you want to deathmatch consider visiting the ParUni server.

There is difference between "killing another player without role-play reason" and fun event for admins based on 'king of the air'.
Err, what might that be?
The rules state you aren't allowed to kill anyone without a role-play reason, and its a rule which is heavily and inexcusably enforced by admins. Why is it that you (amongst others) are allowed deathmatch by disguising it as a "fun event for admins based on 'king of the air'".
I have a great idea, I'll go to Corleone HQ with everyone else in Corleone and we'll have ourselves a little DM party, and I will call this "fun event", king of the ground.
There's absolutely no difference between deathmatching and what you were doing.

And I have to ask, why do you class being an admin as hard work? If it's come to a point where playing a game has become hard work then why don't you resign?
Title: Re: How admins relax..
Post by: Cyril on September 09, 2012, 06:27:13 pm
Difference is : it was overviewed and rules was set by a Community Leader, MIB.
Now stop arguing, because you just make yourself look butthurt.
Title: Re: How admins relax..
Post by: Boromir on September 09, 2012, 06:31:13 pm
If you insist that we should not organize DM events, then I will ban all events that break the server rules, including fight club, destruction derby, and so on.
Funny how all these retarded accusations towards admins are mostly from VC:MP players who are barely on the server. Maybe they got emotional due to their past mistakes.

And yes, it was under control by a community leader, not a normal admin. That's the difference that makes this event safe.
Want to organize such events? Then be a community leader yourself.

I just gotta ask, since you seem to be fine with calling this a event, can I then call when I punch/shoot my friends or whatever, a event aswell?

So in other words, you arrange a huge DM fest, for admins only, those who are supposed to uphold the rules. Not to mention you use strictly prohibited vehicles and allow returning after death? Excellent work my friend.

We explained the difference enough times.

Now tell me. Since you are saying that we, admins, are just having a mass DM, tell me the difference between this and other events.
Also, it seems like you do not even know about our rules fully. "No returning after death" applies to RP situations. Each event has different rules.

The vehicles are prohibited to players like you, who I cannot trust even a bit. I, myself, have access to these vehicles, and it is not out of my jurisdiction to give them to admins when I want to.

In that case all events that even remotely relate to a rule break shall be forbidden. Now you can complain further about events not even existing.

It is quite amusing how many of you are complaining here about this one time occurrence and take part in similar events yourselves.

I just gotta ask, since you seem to be fine with calling this a event, can I then call when I punch/shoot my friends or whatever, a event aswell?
Then there will be admin punishment event :D

The rules are designed to help players play. All admin actions are circumstantial depending on what happened, where...  effects on other players.

Did this admin event hurt any players... no
Did it give wrong impression to new players? no... the location was out of the way
Did event go out of hand and cause mayhem?....no
Few friends on admin team having a bit of fun... yes, but not allowed I see.

You can hold "DM" events, or we could just outright ban all gang wars, paintball events, fight clubs, money trailer etc... all depends on the circumstances.

Punching your friend in middle of desert, is different from randomly attacking each other at LSPD  for instance and saying "its event".

EDIT:

One of my most popular events is drugs trailer/ money trailer type. Where, if you strip away the RP I like to add... is actually a DM event. Funny how no one complains when they get to win prizes...

If you insist that we should not organize DM events
Point 1 - You admit having broken the rules by organizing a Deathmatch "event".
then I will ban all events that break the server rules, including fight club, destruction derby, and so on.
Point 2 - Fight clubs and destruction derbies have (or atleast should have) a roleplaying component (interactions other then the ones associated with the rulebreak) that allows it to effectly overcome the DM/Ramming rules (your event lacked such component).
Point 3 - Feel free to make judgements
Funny how all these retarded accusations towards admins are mostly from VC:MP players who are barely on the server. Maybe they got emotional due to their past mistakes.
I have not played VC:MP at all, mainly because of Klaus..
Well, he's finally removed... I will stop by once in a while to make sure the server is running well.
I might talk to the owners to hire a new server manager as well.

Keep up the good work, and I do not wish to see any BSs from any of you that ruin Argonath reputation, as Klaus did..
Point 4 -
And yes, it was under control by a community leader, not a normal admin. That's the difference that makes this event safe.
If it's not safe for admins to hold this event, how is it safe to let them participate? ( And in other words, this event was made exclusivly for them even though you do not trust them enough to create it )
Point 5 -
Want to organize such events? Then be a community leader yourself.
For the current and future members of the A-Team, please do not use that statement as you argument to become a community leader.

I will certainly tell you mr kind sir. How is it not a mass DM, when a lot of admins are flying in strictly prohibited vehicles shooting eachother with rockets and miniguns? The difference is that on other events we are not allowed to use weapons, sometimes bats. Noting that fires a single fucking bullet. DDs is nothing close to this bullshit. I honestly thought you were smarter than this, but seems you are not smart overall. Use your brain to think, not your butthole.

Then what is fight clubs?
Title: Re: How admins relax..

Then what is fight clubs?
I know this is not RLRP, but. How many times have you seen a fightclub? How many times have you seen a lot of hunters blasting eachother with rocket launchers?

What is the roleplay in punching each other to death in order to be the last one alive?

I find it quite funny that YOU are here and complaining when you are barely playing SA:MP (if you now are playing SA:MP). I also find it funny that you are trying to "learn" MIB the differences, when he infact is a community leader, with WAY more experience then you in administrating and managing.

Post Merge: September 09, 2012, 07:06:20 pm

Fight Clubs - Hundreds of times but still no one complains about Fight Clubs since they are able to get money from it when it is infact pretty much the same.

Hunsters shooting at each other, once.

Your point is?

Enough times? All explaination I see is "I am high ranked enough to be above the rules".

The difference between this and another event.
The topic is called "How admin relax.." not "Awesome dm event"
Other events often is alot of /ad's before it occurs, so people is fully aware that this is a event, which I don't see in this video or topic that it was a EVENT, could aswell just be a mass dm.
All we can see in this video is admins breaking the rules.

The vehicles are prohibited to players like you, who I cannot trust even a bit. I, myself, have access to these vehicles, and it is not out of my jurisdiction to give them to admins when I want to.
To players like him? Then why is it players using hunters in the video?

You guys know its a game right? Reality Check if you don't.

The point of games is entertainment, to have a bit of a fun. Jesus, move the fk on and get over it. So the admins are having a bit of fun they aren't hurting anyone.

Can't handle it, as RON has said before, then go play the Sims.

Why do you fight until the end in fight club, instead of very low hp / armor away? Death in such event is very much unnecessary.

Indeed it is, but the problem is that players get punished when having this kind of fun in most cases

lol. I am not even going to bother to explain to a guy who thinks rules are made, depending on the frequency of particular events.
Diddeh, like I said, if you want to arrange such events, be a community leader yourself. Let me hear you complain about us spawning objects ingame when it is not allowed to players just because we are managers+. Logic is not just there to put on your shelf, my friend.

Want to discuss further with your pointless arguments? PM me.
