Well i've been searching for a couple of weeks now on how I can reset my computer to how it was when i first got it in '07.The amount of junk i have downloaded over the years is just crazy,Ethan discovered that my ram is 1GB(which i am pretty sure is bad cause he was laughing his ass off),my PC constantly freezes,i have millions of viruses,it takes about 7minutes just to load my PC,when i load my PC my computer screen goes black without a task bar and stay like that for about 2-5minutes although i can still do CTRL+ALT+DEL and open task manager and start using programs.I can go on.
So then i heard you can reset yor PC to new, just how you got it.But i've tried and tried, but all fail.Any help argonathians?
I have A 32Bit Winows Vista.

First bit of advise, loose Vista get 7, hell even get XP or 98...
Next, you just place the CD in the drive and when your computer starts up you should see something like
"Press any key to run from CD"
Then do this and just follow the on screen instructions.

So I goto best buy,and buy one of those windows 7 disc, insert it and then install it,then will my PC feel like new? :D
or are you talking about something else?

I'd advise buying the disc, backing up what files you want on a USB or DVD/CD, formatting your -entire- hard-drive to make sure it's clean with no traces of any viruses/adware/malware/trojans etc; then putting the installation disc in and installing it as stated above. Otherwise some of the malicious content already on your hard disk might "move" over to your new Windows installation.

As simple as it sounds yes.
Place the disk into your drive, and restart it. A message "press any key to boot from CD", press any random key and follow the on screen instructions.
As simple as that. :)

You may have to play around with the BIOS though, so try to keep a computer with internet nearby.

Is your computer purchased from a company, such as Dell or direct from the manufacture? If so you they maybe able to send you another copy (roughly 15$).

HP owns Compaq, and seeing as your desktop is an HP machine I would recommend contacting HP. Alternatively you can go through their support system on their website (pretty simple to use).

I'd recommend buying a new computer or for the least bit update your hardware. Windows Vista is awful, plus it takes minimum 1GB RAM.

Exactly what I am thinking of doing.
I'm thinking of get a macboil pro with windows 8 on it,my teacher has it and he says it is fantastic. But he says it. It's him 22 hundred dollars.
And cheaper suggestions?
Maybe rang of 1,000$ max

If a desktop PC is okay, you'll get quite a beast with that money if you use parts from your old one.

You can get windows 7 for free with ease, If your thinking of getting another pc i must recommend a custom desktop build as they are the best bang for buck :P
