This is over Japan's buying of the private Senkaku islands, in the disputed territorial waters between Japan and China.

And just now a Top Chinese General tells military to prepare for combat.. http://freebeacon.com/chinese-general-prepare-for-combat/ (http://freebeacon.com/chinese-general-prepare-for-combat/)

Just because I displayed my view point such way doesn't means I'm finding this funny. In my opinion all goverments are bunch of retards looking to show of they power or what they are capable of,while nations have no other choice as follow.

Same here!
They should not fight over a peace of land, they should come to a mutual agreement.

Japan didnt buy it from China, it bought them from private owners of the islands(Who were of Japanese origin and citizenship) . Japan claims that China had no claim to the islands and the islands are under private rule, but China claims that the islands come under its territory(They dont by UN standards, but again this is not the first time China claimed a neighboring area as its own), and as such cannot be sold to another country without their own consent.

There had been a standoff about the matter before, but it died down. Now Japan decided to buy it off the private owners in an attempt to settle it once and for all, but evoked Chinese response instead.

So basically the islands don't even classify as being in Chinese territory but China is claiming it still is theirs? It was owned by Japanese people who then sold it to their country, yet China wants the islands instead..
Really no logic in that..  :conf:

China starts atleast one war every decade over territory that isnt theirs
In 1961 they actually invaded India because The democratic republic of India wasnt the British India, and it claimed since the countries are different the mcmahon line(Disputed border agreed upon by Britain and China) was invalid, but said nothing when the territory for India was actually being laid out. It stuck when India was weak..

So basically each time their PMS arises around every 10 years or so they have a tantrum about some land just for the sake of it by the looks of it.
Next thing they're going to claim Germany or Russia to be theirs too?

Actually they claim that the entire asian continent is their property.

IN CHINA HISTORY THAT ISLAND WAS BELONG TO CHINA BUT JAPANESE SAID THAT ITS THEIR.
And even China do not start a war, they can ruin the Japan Economy with 'methods'
So far, this dispute should end as quick as possible becuz some Chineses buy/eat Japanese stuffs and got fucked by other Chineses.(Same problem appears in HK)

To most of us (on the other side of the world, maybe?), it all just looks like a silly mess up, huh?

It's odd how a huge number of conflicts these days that we hear about on the news come about from a really "silly", almost insignificant source.
I am not saying this should be categorised alike, but a lot of these rioting and mobbing that goes on, you wonder how much the majority taking part actually know about the real cause.

If we were gonna determine territory by history, then there would only exist about 50 countries, if that many. Hiatory is past, we cannot determine certain things by how they were in the past.

Talking about history, how can we define history itself. Historical ownership wouldn't ensure it goes into the right hands, either.

How would you limit history, and how far back should you go. Technically, to avoid every single conflict you'd have to find the very, very first occupants or claimants to the land, and that's hardly feasible. Technically, no one owns the planet, and that would imply no one actually owns the land. Governments do not "own" it as such, monarchies... it may be a different thing altogether, but territory is possibly one of the most faught over 'resources' on a global scale.

In the eyes of many, land = power.
Hence the rise and fall of great empires; Persian, Roman, Russian, British... to name a few.

Well... 2011-2012 has seen a lot of conflicts and violent incidents.
To add to all of it, the economies in many parts of the world are in a poor state, too, and financial security is of great concern in the current time.

International relations have been better. :D
