All forum users the same theme.
Better for designs, fonts, colors, sizes... etc.
When I design/make something for Argonath RPG theme, it looks f**ked up for a user with default theme.
And, to be honest; what's the added value of choosing your own theme...?

Most people use the new one. (http://www.argonathrpg.com/index.php?action=theme;sa=pick;u=9576;d0c8bf0=029f54883b09fd70bfbb3c1cecb18929)

Most, not all.
One theme you can rate a topic, other theme you can select your country flag...
And if most of the users are using the "new" one, set this theme as the main one.

There are some other suggestions here and there about themes, fixing them etc.
I've kept the original theme colours as the majority of topics (the ones that people have worked very hard to design, create and update!) may only look their best then, or may not be very easily viewable in the new theme.
With the new default we've moved away somewhat from the original colours. I think the majority of forum users appear to use that theme as it is the default, and some people may not have changed, or even be active on the forums for that matter.

I'm sorry but the new theme is just horrible. It messes with links and makes threads just look bad if they are using images instead of text. I wish there was a set guideline for which I can design and not worry about other people not seeing it because of their theme choice.
Also, please get rid of ugly stupid underline for all links (http://examplesite.co) and pics that are being linked.

Please. :)
I don't think anyone means to criticise the new layouts, but I'd also have to say that it is simply getting in the way of users in many cases.
My own two cents is that aside from what has already been mentioned, it makes the site/forum look less professional and like any other mid-sized gaming blog which may be packed full of random widgets and packages.
Takes away that "Argonath feel". I love what has been tried out, but the theme and style overall seems to be in conflict and we don't want to fall behind other communities and large forums out there, especially when people are now adopting the web for portable devices and mixed media where compatibility is of utmost importance.

The old forum theme is simple not compatible with most of the things we want to create. SMF with version 2.0 has chosen a different standard, and any theme based on the old 1.x versions needs constant manual intervention.
As far as the look is concerned, we made a choice to change after 6 years.
If we never change, we will never improve.

Would it be possible to revert back to colours that were similar to the old theme?
I feel this would solve some of the widespread aesthetic problems people are finding in posts/topics.
The light colours (white, cyan, blue) for the main body is very different to the older body of the forums.
I'm not sure what others have to say, but I really like the header and options bar across the top.
I think the main issues people are identifying are with the "middle" main part of the forum and boards.

I like the old theme better. Fix it pls
