Post by: ferrari32 on November 07, 2012, 05:52:17 pm
Hey dudes, whenever I join the server and log in, I crash in something like 5 seconds, tried it 99999999 times and still crash. Anyone have any ideas?

Im not sure if you have this in IVMP

Something like F4 (resetting your spawn)
then /kill

I DO NOT KNOW if you have this on IVMP

Happened to me when I banned myself  :hit:

Try having someone on the server to see if your banned under someone's alias.

He isn't banned he just crashes every 2 seconds when joining. He only can write hi before crashing.

If nothing's apparently wrong with your game/client or computer maybe it's worth trying to connect under another name.
You don't have to register/log on but see how you fare... a number of people now and in the past have reported similar problems when trying to connect to Argonath.

Could be an issue with the individual's account itself. Hopefully something that a Scripter can amend.

If in Windows Vista, 7, or 8, run the browser as an Administrator.

It ain't the client, as it works properly with other servers :P

Do you have any mods installed? Are you using the latest version of VC:MP?

Noany mods, yes.
You mentioned above that it stopped with a new nickname before registering it. Is your username or password using any kind of special characters?

The Admin Team's looking into a number of accounts that seem to have individual bugs or other issues.

Hopefully they'll all be resolved shortly.

It's about the scripts. When you load up the multiplayer, the data received (mostly the vehicle map) is just too much. I believe there's nothing wrong with your internet connection since you played before with no problems.

I had the exact same issue with Argonath server, not any other. The easiest solution for me was to connect when there were no players online; however, this could be an individual case as well.

Thanks, I'll try to connect when the server's empty :P

I still doubt this is a server-side issue. Ferrari, screenshot your F6 info before you crash. Check your packetloss etc

I ran a test with kessu today, he logged into my account. The problem isn't in the server, it's in my files as he didn't crash.

Singleplayer works correctly, right? What language is your computer set to?

The game worked for you before and it works for other servers. But it's not Argonath's side problem, so try installing the game and vcmp to different location like I suggested and see what happens (use fresh installation, not copying the files to other location)

Yes, English.
@Kessu: Will do.

Hmm, unsure, it could be part and part.

I think [WS]Bass had the same issue (different to alias lag one) and I could connect on his account although he was unable to.

Stormeus checked in on user files and was able to find a solution.

Clearly there are no issues with your account itself. I checked the user file and couldn't find any irregularities. Your alias (under [VU]Ferrari32) has been purged to see if that is a problem, but Ave's hypothesis is more likely to be correct.
