Title: Vice City ENB
Post by: Jaga848 on November 18, 2012, 01:43:54 pm
Okay so, I've been searching around a little for a good enb for VC and I believe I found a perfect one, screens:

Very good reflections, as you may see it enables antialiasing too. Many people asked me for a good HD modification of VC, so here, if anyone's interested, pm me. :)

To be honest, reflections in the majority of ENB settings, including this one are too unrealistic. Cars look like they're chrome-plated or something

Does it rapes your PC?

It's a good car to slap it to drive it with that resolutions.

Not bad, but I've seen a lot better

The fact is ENB doesn't work good with Vice City. There is no version that'd tweak the graphics to the fullest. Plus, it is not suited well enough to co-op with the multiplayer. I've stopped testing ENB after a really heavy config almost blew up my GFX card.

That is unfortunately because the guy who makes the ENBSeries mod has stopped developing it for older GTA's, opting for newer ones. I believe he recently stopped working on it for SA too, instead working on GTA IV and other games.

I admit though, it would be nice if the last few SA versions were backported to III and VC. That would be amazing to see.

You're right, though nothing much to say about GTA III. ENB files (dll. libraries) are blocked by LU client.

I've heard about iCEnhancer for VC developed by Russians, but I didn't make it to work properly. It's GTA IV stuff.

I've heard it's possible to allow ENBSeries to work in LU via the Anti-Cheat settings, but it's likely something we won't allow in Argo being that it's not well-developed, and used by very few, so it's not worth the issues that could arise from it being allowed.

I guess ENB is completely blocked client-side; from what VRocker told me, he didn't include DX9 convertor in the list of files generally accepted. That's why it won't work, same as with .asi files.

I'll have to ask him about that, but it's definitely possible. He made the Anti-Cheat system very powerful to prevent many possible ways of cheating that we commonly see in other GTA MP mods, so I don't doubt it at all.

I had a lot of ENB versions but they look ugly. I rather prefer the real beauty of vice city, no need to ruin it with some fake ass mods.

I think you missed the first part of his quote, which said:

Klaus just makes a good point.
First Rytuklis says he wants the mod, then a few days later he says he doesn't want to screw vice city up for some mods.
The part that he thinks a lot of ENB's are ugly, isn't rellevant.

You guys are confusing what he said. He said that previous versions of ENBSeries he tried looked ugly to him, but the one he said he wanted didn't appear that way to him. :P
