As our normal IP is still hit by a DDOS attack that causes the data centre to keep it switched off, we have shifted SA:MP to a new IP:
world.argonathrpg.eu
samp.argonathrpg.com
This is currently running a GL game mode, but we will switch all current files in case it holds up.
But we will never give in to terrorism.

It depends on what happens to the SA:MP server on the new IP. Being that it's the most-likely target of these attacks, Sauron is waiting to see if the attacks stop or not. If so, other services will be restored by one of two methods. If not, other actions will be taken.

It's very difficult to find the source because all of the zombie computers usually have different IP addresses, and the attacker often is not involved in the DDoS themselves.

All the servers are down, they're not currently working due to a DDos attack, when they're fixed, they'll appear in your SAMP Client again. :)

It's a possibility since it is the morning where they live. However, I know Gandalf was aware of it prior to going to bed because he decided to have Argo ride it out for the night when not too many people were online. I think his decision behind this was so that the attackers would think they were successful and stupidly give up. :lol:

I can't stress this point enough: they are not hackers. They are scriptkiddies doing nothing more than pusing a button in order to attack our community. Hackers actually possess skills, something which our attackers do not.

We are opening several new locations to test how they will hold up against attacks, and how playable they are. There for we will now use samp.argonathrpg.com to put in favourites.
It will be fast and easy to switch the DNS there to a new IP, meaning our attackers may have to press some more buttons as so far.
Meanwhile any offers over $50k are possible for negotiation, condition is the candidates for ownership are not faggots.

that won't really confuse them, they can easily make a bot to check samp.argonathrpg.com ip, and ddos the ip, and check if the server is down when it is down that bot can keep checking samp.argonathrpg.com for a new ip or it can check when it is back online then the bot will pick the new ip and redirect the ddos to the new ip. Won't be hard at all. Anyway good luck with that, perhaps there could be another solution.

I would say everyone instead of trying to buy Argonath donate any spare money you have to assist with the chance on possibly adding a larger form of DDOS protection for the Server. Every cent would be helpful to support Argonath in this desperate time.

I got lagged like a damn hell but idk why and playing on touchpad. I said the truth on public chat which is exactly this: Scottos have no rp skill at all, and just dm dm dm. Then madboi seville said "just like you" and server closed connection, I tried to connect but I'm banned. So, why I got banned for telling damn true?!? I know the truth is most harmful, but accept it or change it, but in their cases it's sadly because they won't change it...

I warned you personally about your attitude. I also have several times said that flaming and disrespecting would not be tolerated and that you would be banned for it. You ignored it, you was forced to leave the server.
Keep that attitude up and your next post will be made in the SA:MP unban request section.

Would be cool if we can go back to 2008 for a day and load RS3 on one of these temporary servers. A lot of people that have never played on them are very curious how it was.
Not sure how much work it is, but if it's a lot of work, then just nevermind the suggestion.

The GL server is not up anymore. Everything is down atm - 5:28am Eastern Standard Time, USA (-5 GMT, I think)

Rs3 or earlier would not really be possible as those scripts are what made RS4. If you want similar scripts then load up pen1.

Note: Using the IP and domain at the same time won't work. Either of the two won't respond in your server list

Just a note, that only happens in SA:MP's browser, and sometimes it'll still work both ways. It's still recommended to only use the URL as you stated, however.
