The problem occurred today, and after a complete re-installation of Windows Live Messenger it did not expire..
Opening new conversations takes about 20-30 secs and sometimes the chat lags.. I have noticed no other problems with the PC performances..

If you ask me, Microsoft is intentionally making MSN bug out. Since the annoucement of Skype it has been nothing but constant issues. I'd say they are trying to force people over to Skype :trust:. However, how many other programs do you have using the internet, that would be another place to check .

Many people have been reporting this issue.
I belive it's for the reason Teddy posted. Before the announcement, MSN was working fine, after, it started lagging out like mad.

Trying to force people across to the dark side. :IQ:

let microsoft migrate to apple and everyone using windows will be mass hacked, the firewalls will become virus.

I've had some issues with MSN freezing up every so often, but that's about it. It stopped recently when I updated Skype ironically. Still have MSN and Skype both installed though.

This is exactly what I thought when it started to happen! (I actually thought it was Tai's fault ;))
I had no changes from what I used before the issue and what I use now.. even if just MSN is using the internet, it lags..

This was my exact thought when my MSN started f**king up. However, I don't mind moving to Skype. It means 1 less messaging program I need to have running.

I updated my Skype and got the same problem.
