"Alcohol-fuelled mayhem caused up to £30,000 worth of damage to a family home after around 800 teenagers gatecrashed a schoolgirl's party after she advertised it on Facebook.
A piano was smashed up in the front garden in astonishing scenes of carnage in and around the three-bedroom house in Billericay, Essex.
Elsewhere in the house foul language was written on walls, furniture was overturned and smashed while doors were ripped from their hinges by hordes of youngsters who gatecrashed the party.
The party was thrown by Sarah Hine, 14, but got out of control despite her mother, Esther, 56, being there to try and keep order."

I actually live relatively near to Billericay, and I've seen this story everywhere on my Facebook! This is why I don't ever host parties - and even if I did, I'd make sure it was clear that not everyone and their neighbour is invited.

Project X.
-
That poor girl. I hope they catch some, if not all, of those idiots and make them clean up the mess. A party is supposed to be fun...not a place to turn a house into a giant garbage dumpster. I know things can get out of control when alcohol is involved, but this is just plain stupid of these kids.
-
Hopefully she learns not to advertise parties on Facebook. World's full of idiots now a days.
-
Why can't I participate in such a party? :(
-
YOLO
-
Same happened in The Netherlands with a girl, 30.000 people said on Facebook that they were coming to her house. Anyways, there were 500 law enforcers in the town, Haren. Hundreds of drunk teenagers came and most of them searched for an argument with the police.
-
Ahh man : (
Thing is, people actually do turn up expecting a party. In some parts of England "teenagers" would turn up anywhere that advertised some kind of a party heheh.
Should've used the private option.
-
That poor girl.
Hopefully she learns not to advertise parties on Facebook.
-
Yolo - the idiots version of carpe diem.
-
Thats why you shouldn't advertise parties on social media.
-
Hahahahaha, her own fault.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
-
Bonfires and Abandoned House parties avoid these problems.
-
yolo - lol
-
Must've been an epic party tho.. YOLO

Not can, it will happen.
Everywhere alcohol is involved, something negative is involved, fucking guaranteed.
Alcohol as a consumption beverage for the public is absolutely stupid.
-But Gird3r, you can drink responsible.
Suuuuuure. Tell that to the ones who died/had their lives ruined because of it.
I support a 100% ban on alcoholic beverages, it's just another unnecessary stepping stone towards more stupidity.
And I realized this first hand. And I'm way better off now without having to use a braincell killing beverage to party with.
Beer and all that shit, made by idiots. For idiots, how awesome...

I guess just so controversial that imposing something like that into modern day society would be near impossible.
You can say anything in moderation is fine, but most wouldn't know where to draw the line and it's largely based on personal opinion.
Alcohol is counted as a drug, as are cigarettes. I think that if the two were invented in the present day they would likely be classified as illegal or only allowed in a mild, very non-potent form.
-
-But Gird3r, you can drink responsible.
Yes. Yes you can. There's nothing wrong with alcohol so long as you are responsible with it. Having a drink at a party, with a couple of friends or just a quick one after a long day is very nice, actually.
Suuuuuure. Tell that to the ones who died/had their lives ruined because of it.
A shame, no doubt. But take that one to the people who have experienced alcohol as nothing more than a substance to make them feel a tad more comfortable, and thus allowing them to be a little more sociable - people like me, for example. Sure, people abuse it and it has negative effects on both them and the people around them; that's not alcohol's fault, it's theirs.
I support a 100% ban on alcoholic beverages, it's just another unnecessary stepping stone towards more stupidity.
Well, thankfully that will never happen.

So you need a substance to help you be less socially awkward at a party?
Do you happen to lack like... confidence in some sort of way? You compensating for something??
You don't really see the wrong thing in what you just said?
This is pretty much what I get out of it:
Substance>Needed to the comfortable with your social skills.
WHAT?!
And if people can't control them self, then remove the f**king thing they cant control.
People are dying everyday because you guys want to enjoy your shitty drug so you can more easily hook up on girls...
-

Yes, I find I'm more relaxed if I've had a couple of drinks, especially at parties. If you've got a problem with that or look down on it for some reason, then that's completely fine.
You don't really see the wrong thing in what you just said?
This is pretty much what I get out of it:

I didn't say I NEEDED it to feel comfortable, I just said it helps a little bit. Furthermore, I just like a drink - and that should be the main factor as to whether or not I drink.
And if people can't control them self, then remove the f**king thing they cant control.
No, fuck them. If they can't handle their drink, then they shouldn't drink. Alcohol doesn't need to be removed entirely as, believe it or not, people can actually drink sensibly.
People are dying everyday because you guys want to enjoy your shitty drug so you can more easily hook up on girls...
People die every single day from a number of things. Okay, it's a shitty drug in your opinion - then don't take it. Other people happen to enjoy it, so seeking yours or any other's validation isn't really necessary.
Also, road traffic accidents are one of the biggest killers worldwide. Do you propose we introduce a ban on motor vehicles?
-
No, f**k them. If they can't handle their drink, then they shouldn't drink. Alcohol doesn't need to be removed entirely as, believe it or not, people can actually drink sensibly.

Until the deaths and abuse/violence related to alcohol is cut by 3/4 worldwide then I won't buy that as a fact.
Yes people enjoy it because they clearly don't know what's best for them. And people wonder why the average IQ in the US is so poor, brain cells anyone? Anyone? No, let's get wastedddddd. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
And actually, YES! I would love seeing motor vehicles banned. Or at least a super mega strict protocol and regular follow ups on anyone who takes a driver license.
As it is now, any idiot can take a driver license and contribute to the death meter.
Matter of fact is, speaking of licenses, there should also be a parent license that you have to take before you are allowed to have children, because clearly a majority of parents out there is stupid fucks who can't provide their children with a proper upbringing or care for that matter.
-
Gird3r, you come across as a very miserable person.
Until the deaths and abuse/violence related to alcohol is cut by 3/4 worldwide then I won't buy that as a fact.
Some people can handle their drink and some can't - that is a fact whether you want to accept it as one or not. I agree that the amount of idiots who get wasted every night is a problem, but suggesting a complete ban on alcohol is completely ridiculous. It will never happen.
Yes people enjoy it because they clearly don't know what's best for them. And people wonder why the average IQ in the US is so poor, brain cells anyone? Anyone? No, let's get wastedddddd. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
I can't speak for everyone, and clearly - as I mentioned - there are people who get smashed day in day out for lack of a better thing to do, but I drink in moderation when I feel like it. I know my limits and if I happen to cross it one night and wake up with a hangover the next day, then so be it. It's a part of the experience of growing up and having fun.
And actually, YES! I would love seeing motor vehicles banned.
I can't even tell if you're being serious or not. Do you understand what the repercussions (excluding a decrease in fatalities, as I'm sure you're itching to say) of such a ban would be?
Or at least a super mega strict protocol and regular follow ups on anyone who takes a driver license.

I agree, driving tests need to be more strictly regulated.
Matter of fact is, speaking of licenses, there should also be a parent license that you have to take before you are allowed to have children, because clearly a majority of parents out there is stupid f**ks who can't provide their children with a proper upbringing or care for that matter.
Again, utterly ridiculous. Are you sure YOU haven't been having a few drinks tonight?
-
In this time and age they would probably crucify the poor sod that attempted to reinstate prohibition.
-
Gird3r, get out of here, Alcohol is wonderful.
wish I was at that party, it was probably sick as hell

Why would you do such a thing in the first place.
Gird3r, get out of here, Alcohol is wonderful.

I actually know a couple of people who went. Apparently the whole street was just filled with people trying to pour into the house lol

Project X.
We have a few clever dicks like that in South Africa hosting these type of parties, in fact, its been on the radio and news..
Actually, there was one on the 7th of December called "The Summer Release" party.
And another this Saturday called "Folkstone Party Round 2"
Project X Party a few months ago a few KM away from me; http://bit.ly/NB9EpX (http://bit.ly/NB9EpX)
The warning on the radio; http://bit.ly/UeFnKZ (http://bit.ly/UeFnKZ)

She's 14, who the heck put the Alcohol in there. -.-
Funny as heck tho. lol Gonna start looking for such parties in my area so maybe I can join in with friends too. :devroll:
-
Alastian is right, if people can't drink without fighting or trashing someones house, then they shouldn't drink at all.
Alcohol isn't the problem, it's the people drinking it that's the problem.

I've had alcohol at ages younger than that before, and I've never trashed anyone's houses.
The unfortunate truth is that although alcohol can bring the worst out in people, it can also bring out their incredible immaturity and lack of respect. That was obvious when 800 people trashed this girl's house...and even then I doubt they bought enough booze for it to all go around.

In medio stat virtus. It's just all about that.
-
Look at the bright side. If you wanted to get your house demolished without having to pay for demolition crew costs, all you have to do is advertise a party.

Yes, Alcohol is a wonderful thing.
5 Seemingly Harmful Things That Make You Live Longer

#4. Drinking
This is another one that seems impossible. We all know of at least one famous person (or a dozen) who drank himself to death, or who died in a drunken accident. Hell, it seems like drunk driving alone would push the mortality rate for drinkers through the roof. For all of the reasons that Prohibition was a terrible idea, they did have one part right: Drinking alcohol is bad for you. Right?
Wrong. People who totally abstain from alcohol have a higher mortality rate than those who occasionally imbibe.
Now, we know what you're thinking: Some of those abstainers are probably abstaining after a lifetime of constant boozing. Of course they're one sneeze from meeting their maker when their livers are ticking time bombs -- hell, they probably only stopped drinking because their doctors made them. But no, even when you factor the former heavy drinkers out of the equation, non-drinkers are still more likely to die younger than moderate drinkers.
In a 20-year study of 1,824 participants, people who had one to three drinks a day were two times more likely to live longer than those who stuck with water and soda pop.
So moderate drinking isn't bad for you. But now get ready for this newsflash: Even drunks live longer than teetotalers. Yep, during the 20 years of this study, 69 percent of the non-drinkers dropped dead, 60 percent of the heavy drinkers died and only 41 percent of the moderate drinkers went to that moderate bar in the sky.
Why? Experts think there are a few behavioral things at play here. One is that non-drinkers tend to have fewer social ties and less family support than casual drinkers. Surprisingly, people who don't drink also skew toward having lower income and education levels, in addition to fewer friends, all of which are factors in the longevity game.

Sir, If you've had alcohol at such a young age, then your country and the future of its kids/teens is in deep, deep trouble.
Post Merge: December 14, 2012, 07:13:59 pm
Alastian is right, if people can't drink without fighting or trashing someones house, then they shouldn't drink at all.
Alcohol isn't the problem, it's the people drinking it that's the problem.
Its like saying, if someone shoots you, the bullet and and the person isn't the problem, you're. Because you were unable to absorb the shot quietly and live sober after that.
-
Sir, If you've had alcohol at such a young age, then your country and the future of its kids/teens is in deep, deep trouble.
Unlike most others, I can control myself under the influence, as well as my alcohol intake. I'm by no means an alcoholic, and proud to say that when the rest of my entire family is.
-
Its like saying, if someone shoots you, the bullet and and the person isn't the problem, you're. Because you were unable to absorb the shot quietly and live sober after that.
Well you've made a very shit logic.. If someone shoot's you of course it's their fault as they pulled the trigger. :poke:
-
Unlike most others, I can control myself under the influence, as well as my alcohol intake. I'm by no means an alcoholic, and proud to say that when the rest of my entire family is.
Same case with my family, my dad used to drink a lot in younger days, He'd go out with friends and spend half a grand drinking with his friends in just one night. Amazingly, he never lost control of his senses and Alcohol never affected him. Same goes with my bro now, my dad wasn't even aware that he drinks until I found a bottle in our car's backseat, ever since then the bottles keep poppin here and there in almost every car of ours. -.-
Told my dad, I'm gonna throw away and smash the next bottle I see. :skull:
However, Just because 'some' people can control themselves even after excessive drinking doesn't mean it should be allowed for everyone seeing the recent occurings. 99% of crimes are committed by a drunk person, then they say they did it for food, how the fuck can they buy alcohol and not food for themselves and their family??
Just because some people can make good use of some exploits, hacks and cheats, doesn't mean it should be allowed, since some can but not everyone can be trusted, and thus, those few must suffer.
Well you've made a very shit logic.. If someone shoot's you of course it's their fault as they pulled the trigger. :poke:
Exactly, Its alcohol's fault for getting you dizzy, not yours.
Most people which commit crime get drunk first, as they don't have balls to do it under full control.
Think about it, if your gf/wife left you, what would be the first thing you'd want to do?
Drink your life away.
And that's where it all starts, unless you live atop some mountain, or in the jungle alone, you'd be dangerous to either yourself, or society, or both.
-
Exactly, Its alcohol's fault for getting you dizzy, not yours.
No because you control how much alcohol you drink.
-
Sir, If you've had alcohol at such a young age, then your country and the future of its kids/teens is in deep, deep trouble.
Actually I believe that there is evidence to the contrary.
Its like saying, if someone shoots you, the bullet and and the person isn't the problem, you're. Because you were unable to absorb the shot quietly and live sober after that.
No, it's more like saying that if you shoot yourself, you should blame yourself rather than the gun.
He'd go out with friends and spend half a grand drinking with his friends in just one night.
lad
99% of crimes are committed by a drunk person,
I'd just love to see a source on that.
Just because some people can make good use of some exploits, hacks and cheats, doesn't mean it should be allowed, since some can but not everyone can be trusted, and thus, those few must suffer.
Good lord please stop trying to use metaphors, you just can't do it.
Most people which commit crime get drunk first, as they don't have balls to do it under full control.
Again, I'd love your source.
Think about it, if your gf/wife left you, what would be the first thing you'd want to do?
Drink your life away.

If there were before and after images of the inside there probably would not be much difference between them.
On a serious note this child has not learn't from the previous house parties shown on the news.
