When I try to connect to a server through VCMP something strange happens.
As soon as I login I get the 640 x 480 x 32 settings.
As we all know, you should adjust that in the standard Vice City game.
But that's the problem, my VCMP doesn't copy the stats I make on the normal gtavc.exe
What to do?
It could be a problem that my VCMP has the "Run as Administrator" icon on it.
I hope someone can help me with this! :D

Greetings,
If you are running it in compatibility mode on Windows Vista or above, copy your settings file to the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\GTA Vice City User Files\" directory.

Which file is the settings file?
Thanks. :)

"C:\Users\<Your Account Name>\Documents\GTA Vice City User Files\gta_vc.set" :)

It is there.
The right one, for single play.
But on MP it doesn't take over those settings ...

You need to copy it to the other directory I mentioned in my first post. Then run VC:MP and it should read from it.

Wow, what a strange problem. It never does to me. It works fine, I setted it to 1024x768 in single player and it works the same in multiplayer. :trust:

He's using compatibility settings in the original server browser to fix the crash spam upon closing it. This has the side-effect of this settings file issue. He simply needs to copy it to the correct place.

Oh ... sorry.
Bad readings.
Thanks!
I'll see if it works.

No problem. :)

It got fixed thanks to a tip from Kessu.
Just had to change the compatibility of gtavc.exe to the same as vcmp.exe
