Source, above all (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/article/Police-investigate-gunfire-at-movie-theater-4122668.php)
Two people were wounded late Sunday when gunfire erupted at a local movie theater, sending panicked moviegoers rushing to exits and ducking for cover, police and witnesses said.
A lone suspect was in custody after being wounded by an unidentified law enforcement officer, a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.
Conditions of the two people wounded were not immediately released, nor was it disclosed where they were when they were wounded.
Witnesses said numerous shots were fired inside and outside the Santikos Mayan Palace 14 theater complex on Southwest Military Drive around 9:25 p.m., setting off the scramble to safety before police and EMS arrived. The complex was evacuated and sealed off for several hours.
One witness who reported hearing about 20 shots said she and five other patrons locked themselves in a bathroom to avoid the mayhem.
Police scanner traffic indicated the shooting incident began at a nearby restaurant, China Garden, and the suspect was an employee there. A person at the scene, an employee from a different location of the restaurant, said the gunman initially may have targeted a coworker before making his way to the theater.
The shooting immediately sparked fears of a mass slaying like the one in July that killed 12 people and injured 58 at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo.
World gone fucking mad. I already wish for 21st to finally pass.

The same week as the Connecticut shooting there were two other spree shootings in a hospital and a casino in Las Vegas. So the title should be 'Another day - another shooting spree etc.'

and yet how many kids died from starvation, yes man killing man is hroid - ban guns yet we let people die all the time, so you holy crusaders against America and its gun, SO tell me there are no criminal groups on your country?

IMO it's the parents fault if they bring a kid into a world of starvation and suffering, the kid didn't ask for it, therefore those people arnt my problem, and what do you mean holy crusaders? It's a true fact that America can't control it's guns and what people do with them, look how many shooting incidents there have been this week.
Last year in the USA - 12,664 murders, 8,583 were caused by guns.
Last year in the UK - 648 murders, dropping each year.
Now of course America has a much bigger population, but in my eyes 648 murders in a population of 65million+ is some really good policing.

Things in America are out of hand, 3 shooting sprees weekly is way too far and guns should be forbidden to any citizen. The situation is obviously much worse than any other 'civilized' country thus why people are talking about America in the first place and not some other country.

Exactly.
The United States has 90 guns for every 100 citizens.

As the infamous GTA radio saying goes, "guns don't kill people...people kill people". You would be surprised at how true that really is. Anything can be used as a weapon. Yes, guns are a more dangerous weapon and should be locked up properly when not being used, but you cannot stop every single shooting from occurring. Anything can trigger it. Even normal, intelligent people can accidentally start a shooting one day after they hit their head in an accident and go crazy. You just never know...

I made a joke earlier to xcasio saying I was gonna purchase body armor cause I no longer feel safe in public. Looks like I may actually want to do so. This is just fuking outrageous and unacceptable. However, Obama has stated he will be working to a "solution" to "prevent these (shootings)..".

Normal, intelligent people don't go crazy.

Doesn't matter accident, or not. A normal person won't go crazy just because he hit his head.

You are severely wrong there. People can easily lose their sense of right and wrong and go on criminal sprees after a head injury...

That happens on rare occasions. If you do not believe me, I hope you always wear a helmet. You don't want to end up killing a dozen of kids, do you? :D

I'm not saying it's smart to get a head injury, but it happens. :P

Congress has got to make a move on this fast.

Physical damage doesn't do any psychological harm. Damage to the head just makes you lose your ability to concentrate due to willpower backing out, it has nothing to do with the damage itself.
That, or post proofs.

You do realize that head injuries can change your personality completely, right? Everything in your personality, the way you act, the way you think, and the way you react is "programmed" into your brain. Even emotional and physical feelings are processed there.

Did anyone blame lightstabers when Anakin Skywalker slaughtered children in the Jedi temple?

Okay, seems like 11 year olds can have access to guns aswell, luckily he didn't use it.

Head injuries can cause a ton of problems so you're wrong, it all depends on how hard they hit their head.

Crap logic.. If America's gun laws were stricter all this shit wouldn't happen, thats why it's both guns and people to blame.

Seriously?
Give everyone a lightsaber in Star Wars, then we'll see.

So you're saying if I punch you on your head you will go full retard mode and start shooting people.
right???

It's not the question about laws anymore.
You also must not forget Norway has stricter gun laws than America yet one guy killed more people with 2 (or even 3!) guns he acquired than in these 4 past shootings.

Guess where did he buy the ammunition from.

I'm pretty sure the shooting incidents occurred in america in last one decade are far more than shooting incidents in all the countries combined. Time to finally ban use of guns maybe, before this DM spree gets out of hands way too much. :poke:
-
So? He still got those into Norway.
He was a member of a shooting club for 5 years, also possessed a hunting license for the Ruger rifle however the Norweigian goverment is to take an equal blame as the USA governments for one incident?

Where did I blame America or Norway? I just keep telling to you that twisted folk will always find a way to commit their atrocities.

If it's not gun laws then why is the general public of the USA calling for a change in gun laws? :poke:
Of course guns are the problem, unless you wan't to kill EVERYONE in the USA to prevent someone grabbing a gun, thats the only way you'll do it without changing gun laws.

Guns are not the problem. People are the problem. Guns are a scapegoat because they are one of the most recognized weapons in the world. Nukes and knives are just as dangerous if in the wrong hands, but sitting there idle on their own, they are completely harmless.
People are just looking for someone/something to blame. Given that guns were used in this incident, they are automatically the first thing pointed at. If the killer had went on a stabbing spree, I'd bet that someone would ask what he was doing with a kitchen knife or a machete...

Knifes can't be shot at 100mph into someone, nukes are in the control of developed countries and will probibly never be used, the gun is supposed to be a weapon of war, 3quarters of the American population has a gun, how on Earth is that normal? A kid took a gun to school because he was afraid he might get shot at, A KID WAS ABLE TO GET A GUN.. Clearly something needs to change, obviously the trigger happy side of America will not agree.
-
nukes are in the control of developed countries and will probably never be used
1. North Korea and Iran.
2. Cold War.
3. Hiroshima.
4. A nuclear holocaust/world war is the most likely of types of future wars. It only takes one to start a massive shootout with nukes flying everywhere.
People know not to use nukes if they don't know how to. People don't know how to use guns half the times they do. That is not the fault of the weapon, but of the person using it.
This shooter could have easily had made a pipe bomb or deadly chemical cloud instead, just as quickly as he could have reached for his mother's guns.

And then where ever he got the chemicals for such device would be to blame just aswell as him.

Exactly...but you can't blame chemicals for existing. They are an inanimate thing that exists in our world. They don't just up and cause chaos on their own.

The fact is they still cause chaos, they wouldn't be able to cause chaos in the US if the gun laws were stricter. :poke:
