My desktop PC was working good until one day I got this error in DOS before I can even see the bootloader , the HDD , DVD , Ram are all detected as it used to be .
What may be causing the problem ?
Thank you :drunk:

I had the same problem but Windows 7, it is called BOOTMGR on 7 and I assume you are using XP by the name of the service, it is nothing to worry about as it is easy fixable without format required or anything like that, those kind of messages usually show up if you compress your disk for space savingr. What you have to do is to put a Windows Recovery/Installation CD or USB into your PC then start up your computer and it will start from it (if it doesn't press F12 then select either CD or USB) then select the recovery mode and you can add or replace the corrupt/compressed file.
