Title: Question about mods
Post by: Huntsman on January 02, 2013, 08:42:53 pm
I've got a question about car mods. If you got a decent PC, might you expierence connection lag (Such as inacurrate movements of other players) if you have police car mods at this instance?

No, I do not see mods as a reason for seeing other people to lag. The only instance I can see this occuring, for a police car mod, Is if the seats are in different positions, and there is a different model, IE not TXD, skin mod, but actualy model, on the car.

Any mod that operates other as changing the skin (.txd file) of the model can cause lag, both to you and to others.
Also not that as it is strictly forbidden to use them, we could actually ban players if we believe they use mods that do more as replacing the skin.

Yea i know that , because some mods can be used to gain advantage over suspects for this instance, as the car model might be bigger. But most of the modders are making skins for SA-MP usage, which means that the part of the model that is larger than the original one is turned into a "Ghost". It cant damage other car.

But yeah, it seems that infact it does cause lag. Ill stick to the original cruiser
