As the title says, is it possible to play Argonath with the Rage engine?

That is a mod. Argo has never supported mods because it forces users to install them. The game mod would also need a dedicated multiplayer client which only works with the mod for it to be supported by the community.

So ....no right?

So ....no right?
Unfortunately. If a dedicated multiplayer modification that only works with it was made, it could be considered as if it were it's own game with MP, but even then the chances are low due to it being a mod a user is forced to install.

Pfft... -,- I shouldn't have installed it before asking -______LAME______-

It only works with GTA IV, no GTA SA

Exactly. It's a game mod, and has no dedicated multiplayer client to it, so therein lies the issues.

Dedicated MP DOES exist for IV:SA. - http://www.gtaivsa.com/forums/index.php?&topic=26.0 (http://www.gtaivsa.com/forums/index.php?&topic=26.0)

and if we can have DayZ or live for speed servers, then why not this? We should support all GTA games I believe, IV:SA is some exceptional work, and MP takes it to totally another level.

SA:MP and MTA are mods.

SA:MP and MTA are mods.
They are multiplayer mods, and you know what I meant. Argo's stance on other mods has always been a no because it forces users to install something. They have to have the multiplayer mods to join Argo, so they aren't being forced to install anything when they come to our community. :P

It's a possibility then, but the MP mod hasn't been updated in over a year, and it's being presumed that the creator has lost interest in the project. Hopefully he comes back to it soon.
Also @ Matt specifically: You might want to remove everything in your URL from "PHPSESSID" to "&". That part of the URL is your personal session code, and can cause people to try to hack your account. I removed it in my quote of your post here, if you need an example. :)

okay.
fucking install the server now.
NOW
-
okay.
f**king install the server now.
NOW
Donations to Argo may help them fund the hosting of it. ;)

NOW
Then we'll install a III:VC server. And a State of Liberty: Online server. And an SA:VC server. And a VC:IV server. And a GTAII:VC:IV:V:SA server. See where this is going? And then, once those servers are installed, the player base will end up dividing even further into smaller, modification-based factions.
Moreover, to me, the physics make no difference. If you want to place on a San Andreas map, play in GTA:SA, not on an imported San Andreas mod for GTA IV, and for that, as well as the above points, I say no.

So you're saying that the less people play the worse it is?
VC:MP or MTA:VC, hnng

What he means is that we're one community, and dividing it in 100 subcommunities is isn't fun.

hello matt , just wanted to ask you , Dude! Is that Vedio On YT yours I mean the mods are Awesome!
No mate, I don't even have latest version of IV:SA yet, currently I'm working on modding my SA to fullest and a all car pack. :devroll:

I'm not even registered there, which account are they gonna hack? lol I simply googled, cause I knew such mod existed. lol ;)
and I know it hasn't been updated, but looking at the youtube video, does it even need any updates? and if that one guy can mod IV:MP to work with IV:SA, I'm pretty sure there are lots of geeks in Argo who can work on it :p MTA:VC hasn't been updated in more than 3 years! and we still have the same fun ;)
okay.
f**king install the server now.
NOW
 Keep up the enthusiasm and I'm sure its not far!
:ps: Sugar is right about donations ;)

I'm pretty sure none of those even exist atm.

I see it like this, those with high specs and lust for high end graphics will have more fun on IV:SA server. The ones who prefer classic gaming can play on SA:MP, Most can play on both. Personally talking, I have been active on all Argonath servers at one time or another, each one of them, doesn't mean I left any of those.

VC:MP or MTA:VC, hnng
1. VC:MP and MTA:VC have plenty of players.
2. He's saying the community doesn't need to be divided up more.
3. Whoever said that all GTA's should be supported, I agree. These are not GTA's. They are mods for GTA.
I'm pretty sure none of those even exist atm.
Ironically, most of the ones he listed actually do. He just started making them up towards the end, though.

I said the third, btw, DayZ is also a mod, so the arguement is invalid :devroll: http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=92931.0 (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=92931.0)
and I meant does a MP mod exists for any of those?
Even if it does, we're discussing IV:SA here, and the work done on the project is excellent! I don't think it should be left out from the honor of having an Argonath server on its list. ;)

I see nothing in that topic saying it's approved yet, so how would that argument be invalid?

I believe its about time we start respecting some exceptional work done by indie modders. Sometimes they make up stuff better than actual game developers. :)
-
And a GTAII:VC:IV:V:SA server.
WTF??!!

In comparison to SA:MP? brigga plz.

In comparison to SA:MP? brigga plz.
Maybe if you look at the amount of development put into it, you'll know why. MTA:VC and VC:MP are the reason why SA:MP exists, so don't give me that argument.
