The title says it all. I was trying to break a speed record with Alex Soprano on Stunt, reached about 100.000 km/h, then this:

What the hell should I do now? Everything is fried. I cannot change from 4 bit or the resolution! :alert" :alert" :alert"

hahah :lol: anyways good luck fixing it :)

Re-install the drivers.
-
Haven't seen such stuff since Win 98; you are so lucky. :gand:

Either your graphics drivers have become corrupted - Fixed by reinstalling
Or your GPU itself has semi-died, from possibly overheating.
Or you have some sort of weird system bug, if reinstalling graphics drivers does nothing, try a system restore.
-
Go to properties->hardware->device manager
Under the display adapters it should be showing some problem with your drivers (there should be a yellow ! mark on it). Even if there isn't, either update or remove the drivers and reinstall them.

I've had the same issue. GPU overheated, uninstall them by:

Then get the latest provided by your GPU manufacture NOT Windows Update.

Had that problem before, you need a fresh copy of Windows....i recommend Windows 7

To me this seems like the most likely option, but it could very well be the drivers that got corrupted.
I'd advice you to reinstall the drivers, and if that doesn't fix anything, I'm sure you can get a better graphics card for $20 or so on eBay. Any chance you know which videocard you're working with, anyways? Hope my estimation of $20 isn't too far off. :D

It happened with me also, graphic drivers were deleted and I re-installed.Worked fine after doing it.
