Title: Argonath SA:MP RPG updated to 0.3x

Argonath SA:MP RP server has been upgraded to 0.3x.

You can get the new 0.3x client by visiting http://www.sa-mp.com (http://www.sa-mp.com).

You WILL NOT be able to connect without updating.

i already downloaded and i think that i have the 0.3x but when im trying to acces the server only stays at Welcome to SA-MP 0.3x-RC1 Conectting... The server didnt respond retrying... and i can't logg any idea of why? pls.

Try redownload and reinstall it. RC1 sounds like it's a release candidate version which is older then the full release.

okay i have the one from the SA-MP page but on the server-readme says that i have to configurate a file named "server.cfg" but idk how to open that file and i can't open the one called samp-server.exe

You downloaded the server version, that is to make your own server, get the client instead.

That is what you are looking after. What you described in the quote above is the server package. :)

You downloaded the server version, that is to make your own server, get the client instead.

It doesn't matter if you turn it off, users with it on can still see if you're afk or not.  ;)

And yes, even though the server is not currently on the latest "bug-fixed" version, you can use the new client.

The clients will put an hourglass near the player's name if they are paused, in the middle of crashing, or otherwise non-responsive to the server.

Okay, so I'll clear up the hourglass as it is official detailed...

The hourglass indicates the server is not receiving data from the client, nothing else. However in short, when you pause this causes your client to stop sending data to the server as the game is escaped, in the same when you are crashing the client is no longer able to send packets of data to the server. This can also be caused by client-server lag, which is when packets are delayed to the server and sometimes triggers the hourglass indicator if the packets are to far apart in delay. DO NOTE: It is not an effective 'AFK' indicator, it just happens to work in that sense due to data transmission mechanics. A player can still go AFK, without alt-tabbing and the hourglass will not appear as your client is still actively communicating with the server. Keep this in mind, to both players and administrators.
