I speak for everyone out there who has slower computers when I say - those admins who keep randomly changing the weather to stormy/foggy need to STOP. At least allow the players to collectively agree, and if everyone agrees on stormy weather then so be it. But like I said, those of us with slower systems have it bad enough as it is, without someone adding to the lag just because they think "storms are cool".
I think this boils down to how much the admins really care about the other players in the community, because if they are really concerned, they won't say things like "If you don't like it, leave", like I was told to do a few minutes ago by "Jack"-somebody.
That really rubbed me the wrong way.

So you are basically saying a whole community should suffer with boring weather because you and someone else have shitty computers?
-
Lower your graphics if you lag with some fog.
It gets extremely boring having clear sunny sky all day long, especially if you are online often.
Oh and admins can't set the weather, only managers or higher are able to. ;)
-
How could admins ever ABUSE weather commands? Look at the server, day 24/7...These storms and such is something different from the constant day. Now if you can't play during it, then so be it. It's the same as you can't play the game at all. /q then
-
Abuse? Think again.
-
We have to cope with same boring sunny weather all day long.
The storm/rains are good for a change, If you have shitty computer, turn the settings down as Devin suggested, maybe try playing on 16 bit resolution?
Its extremely rare when we get a weather change, and its done mostly in mornings, when less players are on, so you're wrong in saying admins don't care about players.
-
That was being done by a SA:MP Developer, not an admin. It is not abuse, as they and Managers are given access to the command for a reason. Someone had also requested it for the purpose of a roleplay.
-
If only it was changed automatically, I would love to see people complaining about abuse.
-
I doubt they will "abuse" the weather system.
Be glad we get a change instead of an eternal sunny day.
-
I really don't see how changing the weather is abusing commands. :poke:

Grab your sun screen folks! We're having a midnight sun.

We do care about the players in the community. Without the players, there is no community after all. However, i doubt that an admin said told you to leave if you didn't like it if you asked in a polite way if the weather could be changed.
Only a few ammount of people on the server got the possibility to change the weather ingame. Managers, Community Leaders, the owners and developers with RCON access if i got it right. I doubt that anyone with that access would abuse it to annoy players.
So you are basically saying a whole community should suffer with boring weather because you and someone else have shitty computers?
It's called respect. Not every player got a computer that can handle such weathers.

Oh yes.

I don't get what everyone is complaining about. It's part of the game itself. It is even in single-player...

Agreed. I wish we could get some proper weathers, instead of this fucking sunlight 24/7

If you can play San Andreas, but not during a storm I think you should try a updrade anyways. It's like buying GTA 4 and blaming the developers for making too good grafics.

Solutions
1) Find out which administrator is present, that has rights to change weather, and ask him nicely to change it to sun or night - if you can't find out, ask an administrator to request it, and tell your problem with current weather
2) /q
