Title: Lightning strikes St Peter's Basilica as Pope resigns
Post by: Marcel on February 12, 2013, 11:15:33 am: Pope Benedict has shocked a billion Roman Catholics around the world, and his closest advisers, by announcing that he will resign at the end of this month.

Within hours of Pope Benedict announcing his resignation, lightning struck St Peter's Basilica.

The Pope, who is 85 years old, has been the head of the Church since 2005.

Major coincidence though, I mean this will shock all the god believers fo'sho'.

Although I say coincidence because it's the highest point in the sky and is most likely metal, if you notice the lightening curves when they show the slow motion shot, the lightening was on a different direction to that of the Basilica but the metal rod as I presume it is attracted it, if lightening was going to hit anything it would be that. :roll:
