Several condominium units in the 2100 block of Club Center Drive in Sacramento's North Natomas area have been evacuated after Sacramento County sheriff's deputies tracked a wanted parolee to the complex.

Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jason Ramos said the situation developed about 3:30 p.m. and deputies have had some communication with the parolee, described as a man in his 30s. He has refused to come out, leading deputies and Sacramento police officers to summon the Police Department's SWAT team.

Ramos said a woman came out of the unit about 3:45 p.m., and she has been detained. Deputies believe the parolee and another man are inside the residence, but it is not regarded as a hostage situation.

Nearby units have been evacuated as a safety precaution.

Edit: The man has since surrendered peacefully without incident. The situation lasted about 3 hours or so.
