Title: SSD problem
Post by: Zaila on February 20, 2013, 10:57:04 pm
Hey all.

I bought a new Samsung 840 series SSD on 250gb today.

It works fine installing it etc, but when i'm trying to boot up Windows from my SSD, i just get a bluescreen, and it restarts. Been trying to installing it in AHCI mode without success.

Been trying everything i could find by browsing on my phone, but nothing has helped.

Any suggestions?

An update:

After reinstalling Windows for the third time on the SSD, i installed all new drivers one by one and updated the firmware on the SSD.

This time when restarting it, i could clearly see the BSOD message for the first time. It was mentioning "CI.dll - <random memory adresses>". When browsing on my phone, i saw that it could occur because of viruses etc. However, that's impossible considering i had just installed Windows.

Anyone know a solution on this?
