inb4 "Can I be a tester"... :poke:Question: Can I request to be a beta tester?

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.This.
Why don't we all enjoy and appreciate the scripts at hand; the scripts that allow us to have fun every day!
People act like they need RS5 to survive the apocalypse, but that's just retarded. It's being worked on, and from where I stand, I dare to say that it is being worked on a lot. The scripters put a lot of time and effort into making the future perhaps even more fun. So instead of asking when it's going to be released, why it has not been released yet and if there has been any progress, take that time and spend it in a better way. Take your time to PM a scripter for once, to thank him for what he has done so far, instead of bugging them with questions that will be left unanswered anyway.
Just because you don't see any results yet, doesn't mean that they don't try their utter best to put together something great. And just because RS5 is still in progress, doesn't mean that the current scripts are incompetent. Certainly, and I think we all agree on that, it has flaws. But hey, the server has over a 100 players every day so it can't be that bad, can it?
And while you take your time to appreciate what the current scripting team is doing, also take time to appreciate those who have worked their balls off in the past; to create RS4.1. It's also a great script, and as with any script, a lot of time and effort (and sacrifices!) have been put into it. And just because we take it for granted that these scripts are run on the server every day, doesn't mean it's right to forget about those who made them, albeit a while ago.
Why? Well, if you are having a shit day or are tired when you come home from school or work, you launch GTA and start playing with mates. Do you like it? Sure you do, or else you wouldn't. And where you spend your free time playing a game, they're spending (a portion) of theirs to make the game. They come home and then spend a couple of hours staring at scripts, looking for that one single line containing the error, rendering the complete script useless.
And then, when they finally join the game, they keep being bugged by people asking questions that they've been asked a dozen times. Not to mention those who are jealous or simply hold a grudge against them.
So show them support and show them what they do it for.

You're one meanie sheep, don't you dare removed GS9!
April fools nigguh :rules:I heard they gonna put a truck terminal around there man :(
You only wrote this so they would invite you :roll:Actually, no, I don't have any interest in becoming a beta tester. I've been there when the IV:MP scripts were being tested, and as awesome as it sounds you get access to the scripts as one of the first players on Argonath, it's a lot of doing the same thing over and over again. And then do it in a slightly diffirent way, over and over again.

Not being funny, buy the pawno compiler tells you what line the error is on :LYeah, if it's a really basic syntax error, but if the script compiles and the part of script that's bugging is huge, it's a completely different story.
Okay then, /bizzinfo is bugged it needs ID, but /bizzinfo ID is only used from admins and somehow players can use it for their own ID only. This is in no way related to RS5...

All these areas can easily be removed with some map editors :devroll:(http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/d/dd/Oh-you-93067263235.jpeg)

For example, we're currently trying to solve a bug that's only ever been mentioned once on the SA:MP forums... Basically, when someone joins, there's a small chance that a random player will completely freeze in a very weird way: their screen doesn't freeze, but keyboard and mouse input is ignored, so the only way to quit is ctrl+alt+del -> task manager
Oh you should only know how many hours i've spent debugging a feature that didn't work but compiled fine....
This is why you should add comment lines to everything so you can easily see whats wrong. Basic coding practices you should learn in school should stick with you, sometimes the most basic things i learned in school are the most useful things. We do, we have a development wiki as well ;)
We do, we have a development wiki as well ;)Well, if you need a hand with anything you cant figure out, you know my history and you have me on skype :)
Svensson farm removed from RS5 :rofl:so edgy and so funny

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.you're trying too hard, but I miss rs3.
