From what I can hear, that's not bad. Keep it up and don't give up. :)

I'm having a bit of trouble distinguishing your guitar from the backing track, though.

I'd go with an older Ibanez, the quality varies a lot. Especially the cheaper models are the ones you're going to want to avoid if you care about the quality of the guitar. I'm not very interested in the modern Ibanez guitars, but I own a 'Custom' (that's the brand) Telecaster Deluxe. It was built in 1976 in the same factories as the early Ibanezes, which are great. The same goes for the brand 'Greco'. Same factory, sometimes the same models, great quality.

Apart from the pick ups on mine it gets pretty close to the Fender Telecaster Deluxe from that time. I have one original pick up suited, and a Gibson T-Top from 1979, which sounds wonderful.

I'm not a big fan of older models, specially Telecasters, no idea why. I've read a lot about the RG370DX and noone has experienced massive issues with it whatsoever. I was thinking of buying an Epiphone Les Paul or an SG, but since I mostly play Metal, and after hearing some rumors about Epiphones I decided not to go with that.

There's still a month to go, I browse the web daily, mostly local guitar shop's sites, comparing prices, quality etc..So there's still time to decide on what I'm going to go with. I need to fix my Squier's neck as the strings rose and I can barely play solos or any other higher threats.

Don't go with Epiphone, man. I own three Les Paul models, one of them being an Epiphone, which was my first guitar at 80 euros. It's decent at that price but any more than 120 euros for an Epiphone would be a waste of money. There's great SG and Les Paul replicas from the 'pre-lawsuit era'. That era was an era where replicas from Japan and other countries were made exactly like Gibsons, with the same shapes.

If you can't find any of those, then there's also a brand called Wilkinson, which makes guitars under the brandname 'Vintage'. I own one of these and never regretted buying it. Really nice value for the money. Some people even say they play and sound as good as a Gibson Les Paul, but I wouldn't go that far in praising it. It might come extremely close to one of the Gibson Les Paul Studio models, though. Vintage V100 is what they call that model.

My other Les Paul is a pre-lawsuit Hondo II Les Paul Custom. I got it for free and have restored it. It needed new tuners, a new pick up, tunomatic bridge (which is now a 70s Gibson bridge that my uncle had lying around), and work on the frets. It's still not entirely done, but it's a great looking, and great sounding guitar. As you can see, it's almost an exact copy.

The best metal players I know all play on Stratocasters, by the way. ;)

Fender strats are not in my price range tho :P

The only Les Pauls and SG's that I can find in my local stores are mostly Epiphones and Gibsons.

Doesn't have to be a Fender, of course. Like I said, Ibanez made beautiful Stratocasters back in the 70s, so did Greco and many other Japanese brands. In the early eighties, Squier was founded and started making the JV series, which were reissues of 50s and 60s Fender models. I've played on several, and they come extremely close to the real deal. However, many people know that now, and the prices in the USA are around 1000USD. Not sure what your budget it.

Look around on the internet for information about pre-lawsuit replicas of Gibsons and Fenders if you're interested in cheaper, great sounding replicas of the real deal.

I really like the sound of a good Telecaster together with a Marshall. It has got a special unique and raw sound.

So do I. I own two Telecasters now, this one and a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom (60s model). They both sound very different. Main differences are of course their bridges, the rosewood fretboard/maple fretboard, and the pick ups.

The Gibson T-Top sounds great in this telecaster. Really manages to portray a warm tone in combination with the maple fretboard, and you gotta love that headstock. I have a picture of both my Telecasters on my other PC, I'll put it up later if you want me to.

I've got a Mexican Strat myself with a custom fitted Seymour Duncan Invader pickup. Great sound - whether it be a clean, smooth tone or a raw punk tone. Of course it isn't the pick of the bunch, but for its price, it's great value.

Got my Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster for 300 euros. Mexican Strats and Teles cost 500 euros here, new. I've played on loads of them now, from regular models to the custom models, and even although some played better (same series/model) than others, none of them sounded as good as the Tele I ended up buying.

I'm not really a fan of new Fender USA guitars either. After the early 80s they just lost their appeal to me. Exceptions being a few custom shop models, but far from all.

'The difference between Mexican and USA Fenders? One's made in Mexico by Mexicans, the other's made in the USA by Mexicans'. :D

Really like the look of Ibanez's guitas and basses.
Their hollows aren't bad either.

Jackson > Ibanez
xD Ibanez instruments are awesome. I played similar guitar to Webster's, Ibanez grg170dx, and it was pretty awesome. After her, I bought a strat, and that's The Guitar that suits me the most. :3 From my expirience. Most Jackson guitars are lame. Sadly.

Nice playing Webster!  :app:

..and how many have you played? I've played various Ibanez models and not just from the RG series. Overall Jackson are manufactured with a lot more care and dedication to the smallest details. You're free to have your own preferences though,  if everyone liked the same thing it'd be boring.

Well, honestly didn't play many, that is true. Probably it was my taste that made me think of Jackson guitars like that. Agreed.
