Imran Khan falls from 14-20 feet -07 May 2013 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlUH9vqCf5g#)
As expected with occurrences like this in Pakistan many suspect that he was pushed off by a man in a black T-Shirt who was on the lift with him as part of a conspiracy against him by his political adversaries. Whether it was purely an accident or a deliberate attack no-one knows as of yet.
-
The only thing this can do is help with the sympathy vote. I do hope he gets better, just saw him giving an interview in a pretty delirious state.
-
Who? :trust:
-
Sad to hear that, hope he gets well soon.

It saddens me how these people are so careless of their own safety. Now way should there have been that many people on a forklift - it was doomed the minute it started rising. Anyway on a positive note I'm glad he hasn't done any serious damage to himself, seeing him speak from that hospital bed was quite touching.

Who? :trust:
My thoughts too

Never heard of him before in my life.

And to add, the son of former prime minister Gulani has been kidnapped.
Nice democratic tactics there...

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Long has Pakistan been plagued with corrupt and incompetent politicians who have not the tiniest care for the countries future but would rather lace their own pockets whilst sitting on their asses and doing nothing to resolve Pakistan's economic woes or give their people a sense of safety and security. As a matter of fact when elections are near the parties only put fear into the hearts of the Pakistani people by using intimidation to get their votes. I wouldn't be surprised if a rival party was behind this attack and abduction and these extremists were just mere pawns.
God willing this upcoming election brings a positive change to the Pakistani people - they've suffered under these poxy politicians for long enough.

No doubt

Wasn't a president assassinated in public in Pakistan just years ago, or was it in India?
-
Sad to hear that, hope he gets well soon.

This seems like manufactured news.

Great tactics are being played by these curropt leaders. About the former prime minister Gulani, he was discharged by the orders of supreme court of Pakistan. He was a part of the current government and he is from the same party (PPP) the most curropt and enemy of Pakistan.
And the kidnap of his son is also made my them to make the elections postpond or try to bring martial law. About Imran Khan I am personally against him as he has a lot of bad facts.
I am going to vote the great leader Nawaz Sharif (PML n) He will make a new Pakistan. He have served us before too and will serve again.
He did the atomic tests in 1998, america offered him 5 billon dollars but he rejected and did 6 atomic tests.
About imran khan you don't know his facts so let then get clear
-
Imran Khan is alright he is in hospital as long as i know yesterday night he talked on the video from hospital i must say he is best leader every pakistani person please vote for him i am damn sure he will make pakistan country like one of the best countries of the world :)
-

She was a presidential candidate, Benzair Bhutto i believe you're talking about.
He was a part of the current government and he is from the same party (PPP) the most curropt and enemy of Pakistan.

Lol so you condemn what you call the most corrupt party in Pakistan but promote a party which is just as corrupt? With them you're talking two sides of the same coin. Nawaz Sharif only used his authority during his tenure as Prime Minister to expand his business empire and was constantly tax evading and lost Pakistan billions of Rs. through his corruption. If Sharif wins in the upcoming elections it would only be a step back for the country, he's far from what Pakistan needs right now.

You're basically suggesting that her religion will influence his leadership, that's one of the crappiest things I've heard, besides, this isn't really a monarchy and she won't be the 'queen', but thanks for making my day. Apart from that, I really didn't bother reading through most of the propaganda, I'll tell you 3 things
1- Sharif was not only against the Supreme Court (and he was tried several times for corruption) but his followers interrupted a supreme court session and attempted to assault the chief justice at that time.
2- His monetary scheme during his second term failed really badly, and led to many poor people losing a hell lot of money, while the well-off ones got it back with just a little loss, the poor ones lost most of it.
3- His taxi enterprise failed when the government almost went bankrupt, it was poorly planned and nearly everybody failed to return their money, leading to it being a lot of crap that was regretted in the long term.
So far the only thing bad about Imran Khan seems to be his wife, according to you. He probably won't win, but I'm counting on him to create an opposition strong enough to keep those obese asses on their toes for the next 5 years.

Reasons to vote him:
1. Nuclear tests/ atomic explosions that even Ziaul Haq and Benazir could not dare.
Nuclear tests are a good thing?

Pakistan, the only muslim country with nuclear power. Who can even dare to touch? :P

A lot of people might see Imran Khan as an idealist calling for some radical changes but clearly in Pakistan's current economic situation radical changes are needed seeing as the same old approach every politician has been taking to rid Pakistan of its woes the past God knows how many years hasn't been working.
Btw next time you try to present some "reasons" for me try not to go on http://itechnomedia.com/2013/05/46-reasons-to-vote-for-nawaz-sharif/ (http://itechnomedia.com/2013/05/46-reasons-to-vote-for-nawaz-sharif/) - This just showed me you're incapable of making your own decision and would vote for someone just because someone else put forward a bunch of fabricated "facts" to you.
-
Nuclear tests are a good thing?
It's just a point of like, granting yourself some sort of security, making the public feel a lot safer. To be the honest, the government's leeching all the electricity and we ain't getting none from the nuclear power stations anyway.
-
Im the only Argo Pakistani eligible to vote in the elections tomorrow.
We've all seen Nawaz Sharif, Zardari, and all of them in power. They didnt do good enough.
Imran Khan, we havent. And I like his ideology. So its a 50/50. Hell either run great, or not great. But votimg for others who we've seen before committing corruption is a stupidity.
:D

Dude. I know you're a patriot. People love their countries. But I swear, as soon as I finish med college with a degree, I'm out of this place.
The salaries are too low, places in our country have like 4 hour power blackouts every 5 hours so that the electricity can be used in Gonvernment official buildings and they waste it by keeping the windows open and ACs on.
I live in karachi. I cant even fucking take my phone out in public without the threat of a mugging. The place I go for my A level bio tuitions, its so unsafe.. The other day they burnt a car outside!
Then these freaking MQM guys came and told us to close the whole place. They had guns and shit.
Few weeks ago my friend was outsude the building and some guy just comes to him puts a fucking gun on his kidney and takes his phone, car keys, wallet.
No matter what you end up saying, Pakistan as of today isnt a good country. Its not safe, salaries are very low, and what not.
I get my degree, ill go to states. Do some residency and start working my way to become a cardeologist.
-
Vladislav; You know you've lost the argument when you blame someones grammar, or his sources. ;)
Think what you want lol, this isn't about me trying to prove I'm smarter than anyone or vice versa - that's a child's game. All I said was people should form their OWN judgement of the person they're electing and be able to justify it without having to be influenced by some random source on the internet. Heck if I wanted I could have found 50 reasons why Pakistan needs Pervez Musharraf back with the click of a button does that make them valid reasons to vote for him? Because as good as they may sound I know if I were to say this to any member of the Pakistani community here I'd have shoes thrown at me and rightly so.

And you kept telling me to move there
To be completely honest, it's the f**king MQM and the inefficient PPP that dug Karachi into that hole, and it won't be easy getting out. Pakistan in general isn't really f**ked up, I used to walk around my place at midnight, without a care in the world.

Oh cmon! You cant come up with everything by yourself! I mean would you be getting a revelation of what Nawaz Sharif did during his time? Im pretty sure youll get thay from News, papers etc. So.. Of course one would usw those reasons?
If I were to come up with reasons myself, only thing ill have in mind is that Imran Khan is more physically fit and not fat like Sharif. Also I dont like Pervez' moustache so I wont vote for him.

I don't know why this conversation is ending up here but let me just clear things up to you as to why I said what I said.
Copying and pasting something or just regurgitating what you read over the internet and not comprehending it in any way shows a lack of understanding of what Nawaz Sharif actually achieved and in that case that whole list is one of meaningless words that look nice. If someone is to vote for someone on that basis then that's very scary. I don't expect you or anyone to know Sharif or any other politician inside out - but clearly people like Nawaz have been around long enough and you've heard of them enough for you to know whether they deserve your vote over someone else or not. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in saying I wouldn't feel comfortable in voting for someone that I didn't fully understand or knew nothing about apart from the fact he's in good physical shape or he has nice facial hair.
-
Exactly. He read them, understood them and believed them.
Therefore tried to explain them to you. But you say he's simply copy pasting, not comprehending, and not judging him himself but usomg other sources.
Its just a famous online quote.
You know you've lost the argument if you correct his grammar or blame the sources. ;)
-
You know you've lost the argument if you correct his grammar or blame the sources. ;)
Why do you assume the sole purpose of this thread is for me to "win" something? :) Questioning the validity of his sources doesn't put me in the wrong - I said they could be fabricated, which they may as well have been and neither me or you would know this by just reading that list.
Therefore tried to explain them to you.
Please quote the part where he did this.
But you say he's simply copy pasting, not comprehending.
Yes, I am saying that and like I said before..
if I wanted I could have found 50 reasons why Pakistan needs Pervez Musharraf back with the click of a button does that make them valid reasons to vote for him?
These lists can make anyone look good, they don't mean shit unless they're weighing up both the pros and the cons.
-
All right Sir.
You win, gg.
Wish me luck in my A level exam on Monday. <3.
-
Vladislav, get your facts true again. Nothing was failed.
Taxi's were given all over the Pakistan to the poors. It was PML N who made long march for the Supreme Court of Pakistan and got them out of shit.
Is Imran Khan even muslim? Oh come on! You don't think that will effect his leadership? Do you even know that It's haram? Does Islam gives permission to marry a non muslim? Oh come on. Is that the change?
What the hell is she doing in Shaukat Khanam? I want a logical reason sir.
-
This discussion is becoming kind of... *cough* weird.
Everyone has their own opinion and we have no right to force them into believing anything else.
News was about a leader falling and the discussion is now political views and people you support which nobody in the community who isnt a Pakistani would understand. So lets drop it. :3
Lets talk about jelly and fishes. You like jelly or fish or both?

Agree with you James, lets leave it. Results will be out today anyway.
