So I have prom coming up. I finish my exams on the 17th of June and prom is on the 28th of June. That gives me 11 days. I have those 11 days to get 'in shape'. My plans are to CYCLE to the swimming centre and ofcourse swim. The journey with a pedal bike to the swimming centre is about 15-20 minutes so its about 30-40 mins to the centre and back home. The swimming itself will consist of me swimming the full length touching each side 50 times. So overall I would be doing 100 laps. I will touch 5 on each side which totals to 10 then having a 5 minute break and so on. On the other hand, I will also be avoiding any junk foods within that time period, drink plenty of water and smoothies, fruits and all that.
Do you guys think this will be effective? I am currently standing at 87-90kg. I am hoping this would bring be down to atleast 83kg. Give me your opinions etc! Anything will help!

That's a nice effort from your side. Avoiding the junk food and doing physical exercise will drop your weight dramaticaly, good luck.

Thank you. I shall try my best.

For prom there's no point in trying to do that. You just can't get that kind of results in 11 days.
If you want to drop some weight overall, and don't mind being refered to as some kind of poser, then I guess your plan works, but it will take a lot longer than 11 days.
I wouldn't worry about how you look on prom. If you don't look worse than you normally would, you're okay. Nobody will notice any difference.

Yeah, I want to do it in general but seeing as Prom is close I'm using that as my objective in order to keep myself motivated. The same routine will happen even after prom except maybe eating the junk food in moderation
-
- Plenty of protein
- Plenty of water
- Cut out all unhealthy food
- Replace with salads
- Exercise for 2-3 hours a day (brisk to moderate)
- Repeat the above
Before any weight loss program, you should have a health check up first.

11 pounds in 11 days? Impossible. Starting NOW however... it may be possible if you are extremely strict with what you eat. Eat often and little. Have a treat once a week, such as a cake on a Sunday. Don't drink coke or anything else, drink 8 glasses of water per day. Chicken. Lots and lots of chicken. At least 2 hours of exercise per day 4 days a week - mon wed fri sun.

That actually did motivate me, thank you for referring me to that video. Alongside that, do you think doing 100 full length laps will last 2-3 hours like you stated?

Well, I guess I could slow down starting from now but my main focus up until 17th of June is exams exams exams.

Swimming is a good exercise, but I would personally stick to running, cross trainer and weight lifting.
Since it's unlikely you have membership to a gym - I'd recommend doing cardio exercises using the beep test.

Those activities that you suggested may be effective but I'd rather stick to swimming. I am lazy when it comes to running. I ONLY run when I sense danger or running for the bus :D. I actually had a membership for gym but to be honest I wasn't really committed. It started off 3 times a week then ended up not going at all. Cancelled it.

And you chose to do this just 11 days before prom because...?

Which is exactly why you should run and not swim.

This was planned way before but then I noticed that during this time I need to be occupied with exams and there is a 11 day gap between my last exam and prom so..
Which is exactly why you should run and not swim.
Alright, I'll try it out a few times.

The only way you're going to achieve this in 11 days is if you wear yourself out so much that you can't even show up to the prom.
