What about flicking the red voltage switch on the back? That got rid of my computers problems before, and the entire computer itself.

Your idea of help seems more like a way to destroy a persons computer, by changing the voltage, you are looking to burn out the power supply and motherboard.

Now on topic;
I am going to assume it's not booting up at all, does the screen ever come on?
If not I am going to assume the motherboard is the problem, If it is still under guarantee I would strongly suggest you send it in to the suppliers.

Generally the screen would still turn on if the BIOS was at fault, did you change any settings on the laptop recently?
Or drop the laptop/knock it?

Have you tried removing the battery, connecting the charger and running it off the wall socket instead of the battery?

Mate, I'm a professional, my computer kept turning itself off before, so I flicked the voltage switch and blew it up, problem gone eh! :D
You got banned ingame for trolling and now you're trolling on forums. Isn't that enough already? Go walk around in circles because obviously you have no better things to do.

I'll handle him if he thinks he's funny, it's alright.  ;)

That yellow tab under the laptop which has the pen picture next to it, put a pen in there and over to the one side, it will pop the battery out.

Trying to diagnose a system problem is a little difficult online, the best solution for you would be to take it in to a store and have them look at it since the guarantee is over already.

I personally think there's a problem with the motherboard due to the symptoms such as no screen, no hard drive loading and no other lights besides power.
It's down to either the motherboard itself or the power unit within the laptop which are at fault.

I Think its CMOS as a mate of mine had a samsung with same symptoms and cmos change and it worked

The issue with the CMOS/BIOS is resetting it on a laptop..
That's something I would highly advise you take it in to a shop for.

the dvd drive spins up but dies down
Did you check if there was something in your DVD/CD drive?
It could be that your boot device priority was set on DVD/CD and that your PC got confused by that..

EDIT: I see it's fixed already. But I'm still curious about my question..
