Title: Pakistan
Post by: TheLegitHabibi on May 20, 2013, 09:22:51 am
I like to write, and the following is an account about Pakistanis joining this great community.

Joining my first international community in 2010, I expected discrimination. I did by some people saying or being surprised that I live in a warzone where Osama lived. The fact that surprised them was that I had internet here. I never took it seriously or offending. Its natural.

As a Pakistani I found out about more famous Pakistani players here. iMunna, Xavier Gvardia. Big names. Luckily I found a guy from Pakistan. Almost my age. Rodney Green. Known as Jellyfish today. I still love this crazy mothef**ker. He showed me around and we sticked together. We live very far away, but our friendship in real life is only because of this community and I am thankful to this community for that.

2011. We had new additions. Im not sure if they joined late 2010 or early 2011, so pardon me.
Muhammd Junaid, Kalvin and Sabreman. Great people. Junaid being the eldest, sabre the youngest. Junaid and Kalvin were brothers, Sabre the cousin. Its funny how Sabre became a moderator when he was 11 in real life. However if you meet the guy, you'd know. Hes mature and helpful. To be honest, most of us have acted much more immature than this 11 year old.
More additions this year were Watson and Diego. Two brothers. Edison, the cousin. Another addition ehivh might have been in 2012 was John Cussack. Funny guy, must say. Had crooked English and a funny name at the start. Changed on to John Nolan and now TeaM Hamza. Wonderful person.
Uptil now, we all knew each other.

However theres this one sad truth about us. About every Pakistani. You all are right when you say it. Pakistanis are selfish. We are. Not pointing out fingers, but generally speaking, we'd hate other Pakistanis than live in peace. Blaming, fighting. Perhaps thats the reason we all never lived as one big group. There were always multiple groups and hatred between them. Instead of helping another Pakistani, we'd try to get him in trouble. Report him, get him banned, what not.

However regardless of that  we did know each other. Regardless of ups and downs in the relation we all knew each other. Except for Diego. He seemed to have left the community.

We all followed different paths. Sabre being the first to be thr RPG moderator. Kalvin being an Admin in stunt. I, going towards roleplay in SAPD, Watson getting in BSF and after controlling businesses. Edison and John also towards SAPD. Its funny how virtual posessions made us jealous. How we were all envy of each other.

Things changed in 2012. Pakistan is a country where education is forced by parents who can afford it. That means everybody goes to College here. Ther isnt any 'moving' from parents houses after you're old enough and there isnt any job. Parents will pay and you're going to college. It may sound like heaven for you, but it isnt. Youre forced to study even if you dont want to.

A person should chose something as a profession what he likes. Simple question, what would you like to be if money never existed. Video editing, writing, photography being the answers. However doing something you don't like to earn money, raising the children and telling them to do the same is stupid. I honestly love writing and video editing. However I'm forced to become a doctor. Luckily I find interest in it. But many don't. Here, you become a doctor or an engineer. Otherwise you're considered illeterate.

Most people are students. And those who have time to play are 16 and below. Very few being higher than 16. The majority of gaming population resides of the age group 9-13. Children, shall we call them.

News of Argonath RPG and San Andreas Multiplayer spread from existing players. Players from Pakistan grew here in 2012. 10+ friends made families in game together. Scottos, Corler and Lectones. The bad thing is, they lack English speaking skills. They're a bit immature. The result is what we observe in Call Of Duty when 12 year olds start playing.

Their number have grown, and many people now say that Pakistanis are the ones who behave like this. If you visit VCMP you'd realise how discriminating the community is against Pakistanis. Finding a person from Pakistan who can speak properly is rare and surprising for them.

Relations between me and Watson turned bad due to some certain incidents. Junaid lives at a hostel school. Kalvin, busy with studies. Sabreman probably also involved with studies.

What left of the original Pakistanis are, Edison, Hamza, Jellyfish and I.
I hope if I've done anything wrong, do forgive me. I wouldn't lie, but I have realised that I had a major attitude problem in the past. Something that a very close friend Ethan helped me solve.

I now look beyond the virtual rank or money. Gaining enjoyment and friendship far superceeds these. You'd see me have fun and enjoy. I would want you all to do the same. In such a world, a close friend is far more precious than anything else. Its trust and character you need around you and if a couple of virtual dollars is the price for a good friend, then thats the price I can live with.

Liked it a lot, it reminds me of my old days.

Earlier i usually lack in english(maybe now too), but i didn't cared of it and keep on going, i tryed join Luciano but got denied for being a Noob(don't know the exact reason :P). after that, i met with kelvin, he was the first one who helped me to form a new Family into the RPG, we had fun and our family even raised too but circumstances putted us into the trouble, after that i joined up with scottos and Lectone too. the fact was that all those new families(at that time) which helped me to be better was created by Pakistanis, this somehow gave me an idea that Pakistanis are the one, whom likely to help others and live like brothers. Today what ever i am in RPG is because of them and their support in my old times. :)

Well written, great to hear the history behind such player.

Keep in mind that Argonath could be a school too. I learnt English and actually begun to speak and write it properly. I am kind of an amazing translator in my school(yes, they are bad). So it's just a matter of time before the guys with a low English level master it.

Before:
300 sec for wreckless driving too much i prefer go to jail innstd of wasting 5 min of my life.

Uhm...  :trust:

Not sure what you mean by that, not sure if you should generally say stuff like that.

This is probably the first topic written by you that I commend. The last part was the best.

As much as I dislike admitting it, this is a fact. I have even seen some of our very own players on VC:MP discriminating on Pakistanis as a whole. Tragic, really.

Moved to Speakerbox.

I have no trouble believing that, even although I haven't seen it, but saying that the entire VC:MP community (or even parts of it) discriminates just goes too far.

The VCMP commuity, as a whole, is quite small. Most players play at various servers with each other. Its like a community with various commuities.

But it really is a fact. Not to blame anyone though. When 12 year old pakistani players play and flame with crooked English, it does sort of gives a bad impression. Overall this has led to discrimination.
People wouldnt believe Im from Pakistan and can speak properly. They would initially flame me for being Pakistani.
As bad as it sounds, any regular VCMP player would know about this discriminating behaviour in almost the entire VCMP community.

Very well written, can't believe everyone's come so far. It's been a great ride :)

About the VC:MP thing, I believe the comment was directed at the VC:MP community in general which consists mostly of 13 year old hypocrites, not just ArgonathRPG (where half of the people frequenting VC:MP are banned).

Wanna know what I like? How despite political differences , Indians and Pakistanis are good friends on the server.  :) With Sabreman being my best friend, and you and Edison two of my closest buddies too.  ;)
