Hey, I just started playing GTA:IV today and somehow I got graphic problem in which I can't see anything else like the road, buildings, all interiors and exteriors, I can only see my character moving around on a black floor and invisible buildings, can someone help me out? thanks

What are your computer's specs?
-
I get that when I'm using my intergrated graphics. Try plugging in your laptop (if it is a laptop :P) or enable the dedicated graphics card through the bios or any software (nVidia control panel/AMD Catalyst)
Hope it works!
Oh and maybe you are running out of graphics memory?

OK. Go to nVidia control panel. Click Applciation settings. Check what is your preferred graphics processor. Post back.
Also in GTA, go to graphics and see the resource usage.
Oh and last, is your laptop very hot? nVidia graphic cards are known to go into a "safe mode" when it gets too hot and impacts the performance seriously (lag, not loading textures etc...)

I made it "Use global setting(integrated graphic)"

That is why. From the list, choose use High performance NVIDIA Processor.
Also in application settings, choose GTAIV.exe (or anything regarding GTA IV) to use the High performance NVIDIA Processor.
Then it will work.
Good luck! :)

Yes, cchips is right. Your laptop is using integrated graphics and you don't want that. Post back if cchips solution worked!

Hmm, I don't really know what solution there is for that. You could try to update your videocard drivers at Nvidia. They can find newest drivers for you. Also if that doesn't work you can try the support hardware/support section of ArgonathRPG here (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?board=53.0).

It's not about the videocard I suppose, because if it it, I wouldnt had complete some missions, it only happen after I've completed Uncle Vlad mission, like every 10 seconds later, the game will stop responding and I have to close it, I tried restarting my computer but it does not work

Get xlive.dll (if you don't mind loosing stock mp) and download a savegame that is after the mission?

I tried getting xlive.dll it does not work, and also it's not the mission that caused the crash, but idk, it just happens everytime even if I did not start the mission I will still crash, like it will freeze for a second and the not responding popup will appear and I'll have to close it :/

Is the game cracked?

Is the game cracked?
Ehm....I hope nothing will happen to me if I answer this questions............yes
-
Well we can't help you if the game is cracked. Go buy the real game and 99.999% of the time, you won't get these problems

What you mean Batta? and also ccships, it used to work fine when I play it on my old computer, it seems like I don't get any of these problems, it just happened to this computer and the game is stucked, I don't get it why some people trust that buying the real game will actually fix most of the problems, in my opinion, I've seen alot of users complaining about GTA IV even if they BOUGHT the game and own it legitly or legally
