I prefer PS3 btw, it has many benefits.

PS3 is superior for its entertainment aspect, (i.e. movies and music). Also, I think it's better for not having 6-year-old squeakers, and their exclusive games are much better. Also, I like the less-clunky controller design for the PS3. The benefits of Xbox are they are better for gaming, especially with their cross-game chat. Also, since LIVE is a paid service, it tends to be more reliable than the PSN counterpart. With many games, the Xbox tends to run slightly smoother.
These are my opinions, and you can have yours. I personally like PS3 better than Xbox, and PC is superior to PS3.

I'm disappointed by the release the only interesting and truely pleasing aspect of it is the voice commands to control virtually everything. Other than that, design is terrible. Price wasn't announced but I'm sure since its also a cable box and all this other stuff it'll be a lot more.

Well, hardware wise the Xbox ONE and PS4 seem to be practically identical, with the PS4 just slightly edging it - no surprise there.
Not a huge fan of the design, or the new controller. The current 360 controller is absolutely perfect - I don't see why they just don't stick with it.

You get annoying little kids on both platforms. And as for exclusives, that comes down to a matter of opinion.
Not sure which console I'll go for (if I go for any that is). ONE has so far displayed a far more multi-purpose and interactive system, where as the PS3 has adopted a purer gaming approach. Hopefully Microsoft will show off a lot more at E3.

Well xbox nor Playstation are my favirote anymore, i was with playstation 3 since it came out, i then changed over to xbox 2 years ago because of the Hacking of Playstation, and while i was on xbox, i found there is so many hackers on the games it is unbelivble, i went into a lobby on world at war and i was ranked up to 10th prestige, and all of a sudden i was gave all the achivements, pretty neat huh? not really, 2 days ago i went onto my xbox, to have my gamerscore reset, and my gamer zone to be set as cheater, i didnt hack the game, it was done by a random kid on a random lobby, i couldnt stop it, so ringing xbox i told them the sitution they told me to go to the xbox forum, when i went to the forum i was posted some shit, what was copied and pasted from other peoples replys, and then i was ignored, seeking more help i called again, and told the members the same thing, they said they cant do nothing go to the forum, xbox are the shittest console going, they are run by monkeys, because they are programed to tell you the same shit over and over again without help.
and PS3, they are always being hacked altogether, and the only gaming is not as good as xbox, and they have to wait a month after xbox so the timing is really shit, and also they seem to not have a reliable network.

Tbh, never been much of an Xbox fanboy... nor I ever buyed Xbox 360 or PS3.. Old school PS1, PS2, Amiga, Amstrad and Wii stand good still. I currently don't have any gaming device (Including no pc).. so if I was to invest my money somewhere, I'd surely buy another PC instead of a console for the endless possibilities you have. Don't know why, but none of the latest generation consoles make me consider buying them. (Though, if it was for 'The Getaway 3' to be released on PS3/4, then YES I'd buy the console only for that game.)

So, today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Here is what that means:
An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.
In addition to buying a disc from a retailer, you can also download games from Xbox Live on day of release. If you choose to download your games, you will be able to play them offline just like you do today. Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions.
These changes will impact some of the scenarios we previously announced for Xbox One. The sharing of games will work as it does today, you will simply share the disc. Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.
We appreciate your passion, support and willingness to challenge the assumptions of digital licensing and connectivity. While we believe that the majority of people will play games online and access the cloud for both games and entertainment, we will give consumers the choice of both physical and digital content. We have listened and we have heard loud and clear from your feedback that you want the best of both worlds.

I am going to watch this one. It is definitely going to be a good quality console, and I'm saying that despite being much more into PS.
I have both the 360 and PS3, though my 'favourite' is definitely the latter. At the time I think a lot of people went for the Xbox 360 due to it being somewhat cheaper and Live being very popular.
With competition from Sony, it would have been good for Microsoft to ease up some of their services... but I guess they've thought otherwise. I never really saw why someone would pay continuously for online subscription (on top of any broadband/other internet connection you have) when consoles like the PS3 and Wii offer online multiplay gaming as a very regular and prominent part of the package.

Although with the PS3 you don't need any subscriptions. The online payment is supposed to help Sony improve their PSN system and provide some more dedicated downloadable content - DLCs - for players. It's too bad that this is set to be compulsory to play online.
PlayStation Home is almost like a game of its own, and it's free. Actually, it's a bit like Argonath in a sense, you have personal spaces and it's really the only place where you can interact with other players and it's Sony's online social hub.
You can get access to pre-release information and try out a lot of extra features put in there by international companies like Audi, Diesel, Red Bull, Fuji.
Many of the big game publishers/developers (EA, Naughty Dog, nDreams, Ubisoft, GAME etc.) have their own areas on there and they also tend to release events exclusively for things going on in the real world. They did it with the last football World Cup and there's the chance to win downloadables for your PS from most parts of Home.

- Microsoft Attempted to screw us over with DRM
- Microsoft Only caring about profits and thus changed policies when they saw only a few pre-ordered
- Microsoft Rep basically told non-internet users to screw themselves when he said they should buy xbox360 instead
I like xbox's controller better, and they usually have good systems and I'm sure this one will end up being ok. However I am going to purchase a Playstation 4 due to the advantages of PSN+ and the company making a console for gamers, not people who want to watch 5 things at a time and fap while they play Halo while they watch a football game while on skype. I just don't really like the xbox one's planned features tbh. :banana:

Name me a country that is currently protecting their citizens overseas.
Even if there was one, you don't go to the army specifically to play Xbox one in breaks. Microsoft shouldn't downgrade the quality of their system for that. Maybe sad, but true.

I don't watch politics so you got me, I can't name one, and how is it downgrading a system to make it so you don't need internet 24/7? And no you don't go into the army specifically for playing xbox in breaks.. it's just one of the things that comes with the job, it's what most of them do in their downtime.
