How do you set up SA:MP to play on the server? I haven't played SA:MP for a REAL long time.

1: Google for the SA:MP client, make sure you download it from the official site only.
2: Install it and make sure your game's set to version 1.00/1.01.
3: Add the IP from the server (178.63.52.174:7777) to the list.
4: Choose an original name and simply join the server.

I can add an illustrated version if you wish.

But my mouse doesn't work now :( (by that i mean i can't look around)

Click ESC 2 times or more till you fix it

Open My Documents/GTA San Andreas/SAMP and open the config file called "sa-mp" with Notepad, it will say "multicore=1" change that value to 0.

Fixed by disabling multicore processing. Thanks!

Anyways, were there quad core cpus in 2006? (I don't think so right?)

Although the Multicore option is a part of SA:MP itself and not San Andreas. ;)

Post by: Devin on May 23, 2013, 10:31:12 am: Having multicore off means the CPU is only going to run the game on a single core of your CPU, if it is lagging I would suggest turning Multicore back to 1.

Q: My mouse isn't working ingame and the camera doesn't move and/or my game freezes when pressing Esc or Minimizing (Vista/W7)
Possible Solution:

1. Press the Start Button (the round Windows one) and type "services"
2. If it asks you for permission as Administrator, press Continue
3. In the Services list, search for "Windows Event Log".
4. Double-click it, so another window opens.
5. Set "Start up Type" to disabled. Now restart your computer/laptop.
6. Once back, you will notice GTA San Andreas doesn't crash anymore or freezes your mouse!

Finally got it working (so far)

Downloaded this .DLL and added to my san andreas game folder

Here is the link if anybody needs it.

Just unzip and put it in your game folder and it will work :)
