Grid 2 will release this night in europe - the first Grid [ Race Driver: GRID] was a huge success with its good graphic, rewind function and cockpit view. a lof of critic for the new games comes from the missing cockpit view.
the devs told in a thread that only 5 percent of all players would use that view and it would be too much work on the wrong things. for a lot of players its a not-buy reason, including me. on top on this their will be also no car handling options. so u cant choose yourself if u want a arcade or a simulation race.
But, pc players are modders and on racing forums and youtube u can find pictures and videos of cockpit mods. they dont have that high resolution cockpits as developer would have implemented it but it fulfill its immersion purpose. maybe handling mods will also follow.
The game has single- and multiplayer career which are seperated from each other.

I want it, but I am worried that they have gone the EA style which means ruining the car control and overall game design.

Tired of NFS, i bought the grid.
It was the best choice ever. It is by far my favourite racing game. Id say better than the entire NFS series.
The graphics, cockpit view and rewind are the perks.
The true thing I love is the engine. The driving is realistic and makes a race the real thrill it should be.
Nfs was driving a lambo in a street at 300+kmph and easily making 90 degree turns and not giving a fuck.
This game was immensely hard for me. You cant turn at all without using the brakes and ebrakes were so.ething rarely used. You actually learnt how to race like in real life. You cant even crash you car. Damaging depends on point of impact and how and at what speed you hit it. Even going at 80kmph you can break your axel if the point was crucial where you hit. I loved this game.
I might actually buy 2. Hopefully they maintained everything awesome like in the prequel.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.... I want to try this now so badly!!!
Race Driver Grid remains on my personal TOP list of racing games... realism at it's finest, epic races.. epic graphics, nothing overrated.. endless fun!! just EPIC game!.. It was one of the few games I tried *coughs* then actually bought it to support Codemasters for their perfect job. Though the teaser reminds me of GRID 1 menus and a few scenes also remind me of the feeling on GRID1 however it's changed and looks like DiRT 3 on a few points or some shitty NFS.. I hope they done a good job on this as well..
