Title: Mandela getting intensive care
Post by: Devin on June 10, 2013, 07:57:02 pm
Nelson Mandela's condition ‘unchanged’

FORMER president Nelson Mandela’s condition remained “unchanged” on Monday morning, the Presidency said in a short statement.

“Former president Nelson Mandela remains in hospital, and his condition is unchanged. Madiba was admitted on Saturday 8 June 2013, for treatment in a Pretoria hospital for a lung infection.
This was the first update in more than 48 hours since the Presidency announced on Saturday morning that he was in a “serious but stable” condition after being admitted to a Pretoria hospital in the early hours of that morning.
The renewed lung infection has triggered worldwide concern for the former president. Mr Mandela, who turns 95 next month, was whisked to a Pretoria hospital in the early hours of Saturday for his fourth hospital stay in seven months.

In my opinion, he's on his way.. He's lived his life.

Hopefully he gets well soon.

I don't know alot about him, but honestly (without being a jerk) whats the point in him living anymore, he can't see, isn't he deaf(?), he's too frail to move, honestly, he's like a living pillow.. :trust:

I think only he is the one that can make that statement.

Do you want to live when you're just a living stick which can't move, see, hear, do anything?

Do you want to live when you're just a living stick which can't move, see, hear, do anything?

Would you want to live and be able to talk to family when bed ridden or would you want to die straight away without even saying goodbye?
It's rather simple.

The eyes of the world are upon Nelson Mandela, the ailing former president and vanguard of human rights, who was reported in critical condition on Sunday evening.

"All we do every day is take one day at a time and pray to the good Lord," Mandela's daughter Makaziwe told CNN's Robyn Curnow.

She said her father was at peace, and the family hoped for a peaceful transition into the spiritual realm.

"All I pray for as a daughter is that the transition is smooth. ... He is at peace with himself. He has given so much to the world. I believe he is at peace."

Hope his condition improves.

He's a world icon for the right reasons.
I think some people in the topic are thinking of someone different. We can't call any life 'worthless'. : )
