Official PlayStation Used Game Instructional Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWSIFh8ICaA#ws)That was so good of Playstation to do, I laughed :D

And they are really playing their cards right by capitalizing on the public reaction to XBone as shown in the video posted above and in all fairness why shouldn't they? They have every right to criticise what Microsoft are doing. PS are taking advantage of the most stupid excuse to get more money off video games. I see it as a basic right to gamers to use second hand video games for free without paying some upfront fee and share them with friends. I believe that Microsoft's policy will come back to bite them on the ass, with a lot of people switching over to PS4 because of it.
I think I might buy one, when is it released? :D"Holidays 2013". But I've seen somewhere December 2013 too so I'm really not sure.
Whats the thing with paying 5 dollars per month? what is this fee for?
Whats the thing with paying 5 dollars per month? what is this fee for?You need a PS+ subscription to go online on the PS4. (http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/06/12/new-ps-ps4-online-requirement-info-asynchronous-online-gameplay-f2p-games-like-planetside-2-are-free-play-without-plus/)
They're using the PS+ subscription to re-earn the loss they made by making their consoles so cheap. It's also so that they can improve PSN to prevent it from being taken down again or hacked into again. But it's said to be cheaper than the Xbox Live membership anyway and you get access to some games for a discount or something. Yes the main reason is because they need to get the revenue lost on the consoles back because if they continued with the low price + free PSN then they'll have a problem later on. At least the PS4 won't require an internet connection to even play.

Microsoft did exactly the same to Sony back when the 360 and ps3 were being announced. They're got to rake in the cash somehow and if it's cheaper than Xbox Live, PS are in the money.

They could be way more in the money by not having a fee at all. They've lost quite a lot off the PS3 so they need to gain it back. You can look at the what ifs but I think where PS stands it's going down a good route. I'm sure people would rather pay for a PSN that is protected than having one that's frequently offline.
