Title: Help with new PC
Post by: Zlatan on June 12, 2013, 08:02:13 pm
Hello.

I am buying a new PC soon and I'd like to hear some opinions.

I've gathered some money etc... and I want to buy a new PC. However I want it to be cheap and powerful.

Like powerful, can run GTA SA with good graphics/textures mod or GTA IV, APB reloaded, HL2 based mod games such as GMOD, Battlefield 3, etc... without lag, or without any major lag.

What should I buy like how much RAM, what graphics card etc.. but to be as cheap and powerful as it can :D

How much money?

It all depends, for like $1500 you can get pretty much beast from computer. With i7 processor, like 8GB of RAM, 4.00 GHz processor.

Building one is always an option. You can find many youtube videos on it. Its pretty easy, And with your price range, you can build a pretty nice one .

This. You can get much better value for your money when you avoid pre-built PC's with the company's bloatware on it. Also, (I believe you might have heard this before, but..) wheter you decide to take this path or not, you should look a solid state disk (SSD) for your new setup. It really makes your PC "fly", even if you wouldn't have the latest and most expensive CPU.

Like said above me, don't buy a pc, build one yourself. It may sound scary but it will literally save you hundreds of dollars.
