The Maeslant Storm Surge Barrier
are those weed fields?Nope , but look at Marcs pictures of the 'Westland' in some of those greenhouses there are indeed weedplants , the police regularly finds them (growing weed with the intent to sell is ILLEGAL even here ! So the weed that the coffeeshops sell is usualy illegaly grown but that is a whole different story , so dont start a discussion about it here ! If you want i will explain the truths and myths about dutch policy in your :weed: topic)
Is this topic to make everyone in the UK depressed?
Omg Tice, you live near to me! I should come for a visit sometime. I knew someone who used to work on the cliff train in the background. They're one of the best places to get photos from. You can visit me, get the bus (Number 6 I think) to Maidstone
I have good memories of Hastings, some girl bought a big fish from the shop (It was a plaice I think), and then the seagull took it and ran away. She cried her eyes out!
my town is kinda... rough... :neutral:Just post those then , it tells a story of the history of your town (like my mine picture )
ill try and find some good pics, but when i type in for pics, all i get are pics of groups like the IRA, guns, people being shot....

You got right PMP, Italy has 2 faces...the first wit the shores, the sun, the hills and the waters. My town was founded by the Romans , Its was the crossing of two trade routes . Ill show pictures of the ruins Lucas forefathers left behind
Or city like Rome, witness of probably the most important civilization in history.
The colosseum is almost 2000 years old.
And the second with the suburbs full of drugs, prostitution, criminals, illegal immigrants, corruption
This is the second face of Rome

Coincidence? I don't hope so, but this barrier closed for the first time since it was built, 2 days after I posted it :)

"My eyes and my heart greeted the remains of those brave men whose cut-off heads made the cornerstone of the independence of their homeland. May the Serbs keep this monument! It will always teach their children the value of the independence of a people, showing them the real price their fathers had to pay for it." quote from Alphonse de Lamartine, "Journey to the East", 1833

BTW, I find you're lack of Dracula references disturbing. Come on, Romania is all about vampire and stuff like that. The best legends always come from there. Count Dracula, Gypsies that steal babies.
