It is quite possible if you are experienced enough in Java, understanding of networking, and know Google's Game services API (includes networking) well enough and have $20 (one-time) for the license on Google Play. For iOS $99 (per year) and a decent understanding of Objective-C, networking and know Apples game services API, that they don't really have.

Possible, but doubt it will happen. Definitely not in the near future anyway.
