Saturday, 22nd of June 2013, a National Tragedy occurred in Montenegro; A coach full with Romanians, around 46, drifted out from the road, hit the protection bars and plunged 40 meters. Officially, 18 died, and the most of the rest got their feet, hands and other body pieces ripped, smashed or amputated. Such a tragedy hasn't happened for almost 30 years both in Romania and Montenegro.
Faith in humanity was restored though, when the civilians nearby, regular people, were 'The Angels' of the ones jammed into the coach, mostly rubbish and scrap metal.
The victims are mostly 40-80 years old, but also a 7 years old kid was almost killed by the coach that was lost, out of control. Luckily, he survived. The National Minister of Defense of Romania planned a massive rescue operation:
it sent in Montenegro a total of 3 transport cargo planes, equipped with latest-hour medical equipment. At the 90th Airfield Base in Romania, 50 Ambulances, including both regular and Mass Casualty Units were waiting with over 1000 people from the emergency services in order to take the patients to safety. All roads leading from the Airfield to the 4 most important hospitals in Bucharest were totally locked down, the escort teams reaching even 150km/h.
After the two planes full of patients and possibly hope, another came full with dead bodies, bringing pain and discouragement. Now, over 15 families, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons, parents, uncles and parents will have to bury their beloved relatives, for ever..
The day of 26th of June 2013 was declared a National Mourning day (Yeah, exactly on my Birthday). The driver who will be found guilty for this will be taken to jail for life and to pay 100.000 LEIs (@ 1mil Euros) to the victims' families.
Rest in Peace..

(Altrough the video is in Romanian, the painful imagines says it all)

They immediately got to the local hospital and donated tons of blood. So much that the hospital started refusing because of the storing limits. Also, most of the survivors wouldn't be alive now without them, Respect!

Rest in peace, to those who died. It is amazing how Montenegro helps to save the remaining. God bless Romania.
