How can it be allowed to advertise a "crime family" in /advertisement? People are literally recruiting people day out, day in via the command, they announce themself as "[FAMILY NAME] Crime family - Recruiting..."
-
Yes.. why?
Also, isn't the /ad an element of role play. Illegal advertisements should by dealt by police. Drugs trading, weapons trading is something that the police/FBI should handle, crime family advertisements should be straight jail.. Why are admins responsible for dealing with illegal advertisements?
Just a question.
-
Since advertisement role is to pretend being a newspaper. A newspaper would never accept such advertisements in themself. Therefor the administrations need to handle them.

How about advertisement paper sticked to the pole?

It is against the rules of the server to make an illegal advertisement that is explicit, so an advertisement that clearly states it is to sell heroin is not allowed.
If the advertisement appears to be illegal, but is ambiguous as to what it is actually selling, it is technically against the rules if it is is indeed for an illegal product or service but admins will not act upon it. These types of advertisements, including the example Mr. Goobii gave, should be examined by law enforcement groups and acted upon by them if applicable.
The use of advertisements in general does not need to be restricted to specific products or services; advertising your group for the purposes of attracting members is acceptable.
Like all rules this may be subject to change; if we find that using advertisements in this way is causing a disruption to the game we may choose to reconsider. Also if an admin instructs a player not to use an advertisement in this way because in his opinion it is causing disruption that instruction must be followed.

Alright, thanks Kojak.
I just find it hilarious how weed and heroin is illegal and that a whole organisation that say they are illegal/criminal can pass the advertisement channel. After all, I can understand why it's so too, I think I got some understandable about it...
I'll have to talk about the ARPD and discuss the matter, even if nobody would listen on me.. ^^

The reason it would not be considered an illegal advertisement is because even though the group is a criminal organisation, membership of that organisation is not illegal.

It is admins who should deal with such advertisements, because IRL you don't see in a newspaper "Selling weed"/"Buying heroin" as it is purely illegal, the newspapers never accept such advertisements, and since /ad doesn't have a committee to control ads, police has nothing to do with it, police deal with drugdealers in the streets, and admins decide whether the ad is valid or not. Drugdealers can be creative by inventing new ways to commercialize their goods ;)

I think Kojak already described the situation as it is right now...
