Formed in the late 90's, the West Street Triad started as a small crew that originated in the Hong Kong ghettos, formed up of college drop outs and runaway teens, as street kids trying to make a living.
The gang was originally formed on West Street, hence the name. The gang members commited small time crimes, such as theft, carjacking, or even robbery occasionally.
Once the gang had recruited more members, they eventually moved up to bigger crimes, ranged from heists, to drug smuggling.
Since the gang was growing so rapidly, the leaders were becoming more and more hungry for territory and power. This lead to the West Street Triads into a downward spiral, along with the leader's lives going with it.
During the period when Britain returned Hong Kong back to China, a crackdown of the gangs had been called. Triad gangs here and there were being knocked down. This lead to the leaders of West Street Triads fleeing for the Argonathian state of San Andreas. Once they arrived San Andreas, they went looking for their close friend, Cheng Lin. Lee was a former friend and associate to the West Street Triads, who had decided to move over to SA a few years back. Lin was also a very powerful man around San Andreas, though he led a very small but prodigious clan. He was feared all around, especially in the inner San Fierro Chinatown community.
Once they met up in a Chinatown restaurant, they had a small reunion. Lin knew why the Leaders wanted to meet him. They wanted power, and so Lin proposed a merge between both clans. From there, the West Street Triads became large once again as they were before..
A whole new generation is going to be made. San Andreas was going to change..
