Title: Problem with internet ports
Post by: Heller on August 16, 2013, 09:55:58 am
So what exactly happend is, i tryed to install bitdefender 2013 (30 days trail) everything worked perfectly but after a restart, my PC goes slow as hell so i tryed to restart it with safe mode with networking, and disabled bitdefender security features, then i unstalled it in normal startup, and then, when i tryed opening mozila, it pops up but wasn't loading any websites or stuff(google.com), only internet explorer was working. i think it blocked all my ports or something like that, i also tryed to contact ISP, but they also wasn't even able to figure out the problem, so is there any solution that i can try out with ?

I'm not really familiar with Bitdefender, but what I recommend is to double-check if you removed everything (Start>Control Panel>Remove programs).
If there's no program there that's in conjuction with Bitdefender, use the search function and type ''Bitdefender'', everything that pops up you will have to remove.

If all this doesn't help, you can either remove stuff in the register or simply apply system recovery.

Did you have any other anti-virus and/or anti-spyware programs installed first?

Also, have you run any scans yet? It is possible that your system may be infected.

I have seen software's that leave settings in your registry and on your HDD even after uninstallation.
This is what i recommend, download Iobit uninstaller http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.php (http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.php) , then reinstall bitdefender , after you installing it , launch iobit uninstaller then search for bitdefender , then you highlight and click uninstall the software will not only uninstall it but it will give you and option to powerscan and delete traces of the software left in your registry/HDD

P.S if this doesn't work try download google chrome, its great browser with all java scripts integrated into it and is much faster than mazilla

USe system recovery to put your system back to the point before you installed BitDefender.
If that does not work, open the Windows Firewall and check its settings.
