Title: GTA SA freezing at menu.
Post by: Lionel Valdes on August 22, 2013, 12:53:25 pm
OK, this happened twice already.

I have a recently formatted Windows XP SP3. Whenever I want to pause the game, the pause menu comes up, but it freezes. Not all the time, but this happened twice so far. I can move the mouse if I ctrl+alt+del, but the only problem is that game is frozen.

I have an updated video card driver. Should I try and run SA in 98 compatibility mode? Thanks in advance.

Throw this on the GTA main folder: http://hotmist.ddo.jp/plugin/mousefix/index.html

Solved such issues for me

Hi MrTrane,

Thanks for your quick response. Should I extract it to the folder where the executable resides or at User Files? Sorry if I'm bothering you.

Under Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas, or whatever it is named for you.
