Title: Pinetown road deaths shock presidency
Post by: Devin on September 06, 2013, 06:53:45 pm: The deaths of 27 people in an accident in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday night has shocked acting president Jeff Radebe , the presidency said.

This was the third collision to have claimed many lives in just a few days, said presidency spokesperson Mac Maharaj.

The latest deaths occurred when an articulated truck hit four fully-laden taxis and a Volkswagen Golf on the corners of Fields Hill (M13) and Richmond roads in Pinetown shortly before 19:00, according to paramedics.

Johannesburg - Political parties were saddened and shocked by the deaths of 27 people on Thursday evening in an accident in Field's Hill, Pinetown, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The African National Congress said it was saddened by the deaths from the accident, where a truck crashed into four minibus taxis and a car.

Post by: Duel on September 06, 2013, 06:57:33 pm: I stay a few KM away from here, thing is, ever since 2010 they have started petitions to ban trucks coming down that hill, because it is one hell of a shit hill. But, nothing has been done about it, and finally, something has happened, time for them to wake up and ban the truck drivers on this hill.

This was expected.
