What you see in the screenshot above you is the very first working fire mission in which the Argonath players participated. Coincidentally, the three of us were using all the three different fireman skins.

With all the negative-oriented topics this board has seen recently, I have decided to open up a topic to commemorate the fire mission and its evolution from pre-RS4 Beta, until today.

If I remember correctly, David_Omid was the creator of the fire missions, a concept that then was not as easy to pull off as it is now due to the limits of the SA:MP technology and object-weapon detection in early 2009.

Since then, fire missions have come a long way, from an early Argonath innovation to being the current instrument of injecting much-needed money into the economy.

Despite its misuse by several of the more money-hungry players, let us not forget that the fire mission is an innovation of Argonath, and another point in our developers' long history of pushing the limits of the GTA MP technology.

This is not the only occasion of Argonath's innovation, as our developers have also invented many other things such as elements and basics of cop job, the passport system, bizzes, the ability to have infinite cars and houses (barring map limits and provided you have the money, of course), and many more. Contrary to bullshit propaganda that some have been spreading, Argonath has actually inspired many other scripters, rather than us feeding on all their ideas.

Back to the fire missions, I have seen firemen coordinating with each other on several occasions, so that each gets a certain percentage of the fire mission. While this is not the norm yet, it is proof that even in the middle of an ocean of greed, some of our players will find the initiative for teamwork and sharing.

Most importantly, the purpose of this topic as a commemoration is a thank you for our developers who worked their asses off, in exchange for zero pay, to bring the fire mission from an early innovation into a common element of Argonath life today.

When you work your ass off so that a community can have a better gaming experience, which includes a job of dealing with many shitters and moaners who demand more of you instead of thanking your work, a "thank you" from a loyal player can mean something, a token that reminds you about why you protect this community. That even if idiots with half a brain cell do not know the difference between genuine respect and ass licking, you know that there are players left who respect and appreciate your work.

So please, take a moment to thank your developers and helpers.

Thank you.

P.S: Anyone who seeks to walk in this topic and turn it into another vs. RS5/devs/admins moan topic, I will tell you in advance to take your complaints and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, thanks

Extremelly good said there JDC.

I would like to thank all the developers on their work towards what has been achieved and what is being achieved!
Without you, Argo wouldnt be this good as it is now. Not "you" meaning just some scripters, but "You" as in the ones that are here, every Argo scripter has busted their arse for the community and for progress.

I'm gratefull and I kneel before you!

Tim Hill.

Making money with a job is one thing. Making money by turning that job into Argonath's equivalent of Ice Hockey for Canadians is another.
