I think that a good addition to this idea would be, instead of adding random fixed checkpoints for trash collection, that consumption of items in businesses would generate trash, which in turn would be picked up by sanitation workers. That way we would have a boost to player-driven economy instead of another job relying on script money.

Who knows, perhaps even make recycling companies that buy trash and in turn create stock for businesses to buy from (and then a delivery job for it!).


Anyhow, I support this idea in any form it might take.
