Anonymous, the loose collective of online activists, said Saturday it has uncovered information about Islamic State group attacks in Paris as well as at locations in the U.S., Indonesia, Italy and Lebanon, all apparently set for today.
Alongside the hashtags #22Daesh #OpParis, they published a list of events in France, the United States, Indonesia, Italy and Lebanon which are reportedly being targeted.
They include the WWE wrestling event at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia and a performance by an American heavy metal band in Milan.
The full statement read:
All proof was submitted to official authorities all around the globe days ago. They have it and it is their responsibility to do something with it. But because they have not done anything with it yet and it’s almost the 22nd, we have matters into our hands. We only take the responsibility of warning civilians (incase [sic] the authorities do not act well enough).
We have seen and received from several (pro-)Daesh accounts threats, but not just regular threats. These threats were all focussed [sic] on 1 date: the 22nd of November. Our intel team started gathering Intel after having verified the threats and has narrowed all it’s [sic] findings down to this pastebin.
Anonymous wrote on tweet the following:
"We did not spread any rumors about possible future ISIS attacks, and frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from."
God knows what's going to happen, but a warning for whoever we know in these places to watch out from anything..
