I have some ideas to share, thanks for dropping by to read them.
Here they are:
1- Give Drivers and Paramedics a Radio system (It was already requested for Paramedics if I'm not mistaken) Unfortunately, Drivers these days rely on the main chat to RP a radio talk, it would be interesting IMO if it was scripted, less flooding for everyone and no intruders on the radio RP either.
2- Multiple Kinds of Driving license: Ok this idea is just a plan, I'm not sure everyone will like it but I think it's worth to discuss it:
IRL there are different kinds of license, which is related to the vehicle the person can drive. EG: A person that has a ONLY a bike license can't pilot a helicopter. So I was thinking to bring this into the game.
By adding this feature, I would also suggest that the tests would be more specific for each vehicle class, and demand not only driving skills, but the usage of RP commands like /me.
A simple license list:
A: Motorcycles
B: Average Cars
C: Heavier and larger Vehicles: Pickup trucks, towtrucks, Motor Homes, etc. Does not include Buses and Trucks such as Linerunners or Roadtrains.
D: Trucks, does not include vehicles from License C, Fire engines and trucks with inflammable/corrosive cargo.
E: Special vehicles: Fire engines, buses, ambulances, trucks with inflammable/corrosive, cargo etc.
F: Aircrafts: Planes.
G: Aircrafts: Helicopters.
H: Boats, includes hovercrafts and similar water vehicles.
So, this would work like this:
* Officer Arthur_Carson stops Deejay and [NS]Tiderman on the Market District
(I'm using them as example because they do a great RP with RS Hauls)
*THIS STORY IS FICTIONAL*
Carson: Good Afternoon, there were reports of stolen cargo in this area, I have a warrant to check those trucks, granted by the LSPD Chief Scalise
* Carson shows the warrant with the signature of Chief Scalise to the truck drivers.
Deejay: Good afternoon officer, no problem, we are 100% within the law.
* Carson checks the truck
Carson: Hmm, I see some old TVs here.
Deejay: Yes, and I have the delivery contract here.
* Deejay shows the contract to the officer
Carson: Excelent. What is your name?
Deejay: It's Deejay, sir.
Carson: Very well, Mister Deejay, could I you show me your license?
Deejay: Sure.
* Deejay shows license
((So I type /registration id))
*REGISTRATION*
Name: Deejay
Passport: Yes
License: B, D, E
* Carson updates the info about Deejay on the Mdc, as a clean check
Carson: What about you sir?
* Carson looks at the other truck driver
Tiderman: Oh hi officer, feel free to check my truck.
* Carson checks the truck
Carson: Whoa, what is this? Mister, those products are corrosive, they must be kept in a special condition! May I see your license?
Tiderman: Sure, why not?
* Carson checks the license
((So I type /registration id again))
*REGISTRATION*
Name: [NS]Tiderman
Passport: Yes
License: B, D
Carson: Mister, your licenses are type B and D. Even though they're up-to-date, you need a license type E to transport it!
Tiderman: Oh, sorry, I didn't know that.
Carson: I see that your co-worker has a type E license. So, for now, I suggest you swap your vehicles so you can finish this delivery. Then, if you want to transport this kind of product, you should go to the city hall and get the correct license. This is only a warning. You may go. Remember everything I said!
Tiderman: Sure. Have a nice day.
