Did you read the topic?

I did that. Tho there are more boards shown for me at the bottom of the forum, and it is annoying as fuck to scroll all the way down over the boards who are not 'shown'. I would like to arrange the not 'shown' boards at the bottom, not inbetween.
I did read the topic, I know you had already hidden them. But Brian also told you there's no such plugin, that's why I told you to just keep doing that.

Mr Cofiliano how can you deny that we had any relation or intercourse, while you are prosecuting me?

Since the board order is something done from within the forum software (SMF), I suggest against allowing people to have individual settings. The more individual settings, the longer each page load will take, resulting in reduced overall performance.

Did not know that was a thing. Thanks for clearifying that.

I'm surprised an add-in like this doesn't exist, it doesn't sound like a relatively complex plugin to implement, I'd be surprised if it would slow down server performance. Especially if the modifications are performed client side.

but the settings would be stored, retrieved and processed server-side before being sent to the client

True, though I was thinking the format could be stored via cookies and each category on the forum would be in essence a webpart.

SMF isn't logical and only has one cookie to store the session; no settings.

Ah, I didn't know that... I'm all for minimising the local storage of cookies for users, but that takes the biscuit.

It would be more logical to use HTML5's sqlite local storage than cookies or session; but aye SMF isn't that up to date on standards.

You can hide categories which group these boards, but that is it.
You can hide specific boards too, how ever that's not what Twenty's asking.
