Is the PS3 controller fully compatible with SA-MP?

Because, I have received my 360 controller yesterday, to find out if it is NOT fully compatible with GTA.

I cannot use the right joystick or the trigger shoulder buttons.

Can anyone give some info on this?

Do the PS3 controllers have the same problem?

Thanks, Dave

Did you try looking online on product compare / review websites? There should be notes about issues there... I can only say that I use a PC steering wheel....

I brought a PS2 controller adapter for usb and that cost me £10 from maplins and all i do was download pinacle game profiler and it allowed me to chose which PS2 joystick or button it shud control eg. right analoge would be camera and left controlles and so on.
Very good. If you need site its maplins.co.uk and search ps2 and you should see it.

Yeah, I got the pinnacle game profiler, but I can't get it to work with SA-MP for some reason and though it is a great programme, I can't get the trigger buttons to work even on single player...

So, should I just get a PS2/PS3 controller?

Wait, you mean you'd spend money to switch a keyboard+mouse for a controller in GTA?

 :conf:

Why?  :)

Because it is much better for driving and shooting.

Provided you get a compatible controller...

for driving, I would agree, for shooting, I will not...

aiming with controller it's much more difficult than with a mouse.

XP,

It doesn't matter what OS I have, I've read up on it enough to find out that Rockstar north has shitty gamepad compatibility...

I always personally found a keyboard better for Driving. The Controller was nice for flying, though.  :)
